When he saw this short red guy (who looked jacked as hell, but tough little guys like that usually were) running up and shouting at him, he smirked in glee. This guy seemed like he was going to have as much fun as Masamune himself was. Like he was looking for a fight. "Date Masamune, Dragon of Oshuu. Guess you're Jabu."
He'd expected another swordsman, a guy like him who could do crazy things with a blade instead of just smacking someone around, but Jabu didn't have anything with him. "You want a sword, or you wanna just try and hit me?"

Try. There wasn't any "fighting to a draw" shit with fists. You were either down (and maybe out) or you were up. He raised up his fists and smirked back at Jabu, then almost before either of them were ready, flashed out with a straight left.

He realized that being out of action with a head wound for an extended period hadn't done anything for his reaction time. It'd been awhile since he'd trained, and this guy was fast. Well-- that just meant he'd have to fight harder, then. His blood was pumping already.
The instant he'd regained his balance from his dodge, Jabu threw a hard right. The faster he knocked this guy out, the better; he wasn't pulling any punches, even this early on.

Listening to the conversation, it seemed like they were going to fight. Mildly interested, Asch moved to the edges of the deck to give them some room and where he could watch the upcoming battle better.

A few minutes later found Abe on the deck. He didn't even have to look around for the fighters -- their noise was enough of an indicator. The captain was right. These two had more alike than was comforting. Abe could see a lot of damages to the ship in the future.
"They haven't killed each other yet?" he asked dryly, moving next to the redhead -- have they met? Abe didn't think so -- and promptly stepping up to the rail and sitting on it with an easy sort of balance.

"Hey, am I late for the fight?" He called out.

"I come bearing gifts," the blond pilot solemnly declared.

Still, as soon as she found that Jabu and the newcomer were sparring, she shook herself out of her stasis. That she would need to watch was a given: if not only because of the likelihood of injury, because of the duty that kept her here. The only question that remained was how.
Stepping up onto the deck with her coat and the light fabric of her dress billowing around her, Uni sighted the small group clustered as if to watch the fight, hearing the tail end of Shion's question. Ah -- it wouldn't be a good idea to risk such a wager, so instead of approaching them she instead allowed her steps to take her to another person who seemed to be spectating. Uni settled herself on a bench a few paces away from the young man, nodding politely to him as she took her seat.

"Fight...," he mumbled dumbly, not sure if she was looking to talk or just wanted a good view of the spectacle.

"That's what it looks like," she said matter-of-factly to Wolfram, as the first blows were exchanged. "Don't worry about it. Beating the brains out of each other is how guys like that say 'hello.'" She would know; she'd seen more than a few like that in Kropmork.
