Kurumi had seen the journal post and made a beeline for the storage room. She wanted to be the first one there; otherwise, everyone might have already eaten all the good food and she'd have to deal with eating that disgusting meatloaf he always liked to talk about (seriously, ew). The blacksmith burst open the door and held up her arms to the sky.

"Party!"

"Ya~hoo!"

Haruhi came in right after Milk, practically leaping on top of the other girl. Oops. Look like she misjudged the distance. She tried to play to off by giving Milk a nudge with her elbow. "Trying to get here before me, huh?"

Kurumi stumbled, thankfully keeping her balance, and looked up at the other girl. "Miss Haruhi! Well, I succeeded, didn't I?" She grinned and tried to stand up straight.

Roxas entered and stopped at the doorway to admire their handiwork.

It looked better than he thought it would. The decorations turned out somewhat organized, except for maybe the stray balloon or two.

But what Roxas noticed most was the distinct lack of food, or at least the distinct lack of variety of food. Maybe he'd skip out on the food this time.

"Wow."

The other navigator was following a few paces behind his co-worker, pausing at the storage room's entrance to take in the decorations through widely opened eyes. Sora was pretty impressed with the amount of effort put forth on Luffy's behalf. Who would have known the other boy could organize something like this?

Of course, Sora hadn't quite caught onto the fact that all of this was for him, yet.

"This's great! I wonder how long it took for him to put all this stuff up?"

Luffy was running around the room when then he saw his best friend entering the place along with Roxas. The powder monkey grinned widely at that - he sure hoped Sora would like all of this! - and moving to the table to grab two plates of meatloaf, quickly bounded over to the navigators.

"Hey there Sora! Roxas!" the teenager chirped happily, a huge beam on his face. "I'm glad you two could make it! Here, have some food!" Saying that, he held up the two plates of meatloaf to the two navigators, looking at them quizzically. He had made these meatloaves himself (with help from Watanuki, of course), so he hoped they would like it.

"I...think I'll pass on the food," Roxas said. "I already ate." It was a boldfaced lie, but he had a feeling they'd believe it. It wasn't that Roxas disliked meatloaf, it's just that...well, there was something about it that made him wary.

That certain lack of food wouldn't know what hit it. Wolf had been in a good mood all day and when he was in a good mood, he cooked like there was no tomorrow! Somehow, Wolf had found a couple of multi-leveled trays on wheels and somehow he had wheeled them all the way down here, piled high with food. Of course, where there was a will there was a way.

Pushing one tray and pulling the other behind him, Wolf burst through the door and shouted, "Come and get iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit!" He continued across the room to the table and began setting out the platters and bowls full of party food. Of course, because it was Wolf's cooking, there was a lot more meat there than one would have expected, but he'd still made a special effort to switch it up a bit.

Trailing in Wolf's wake, Tohru just managed to catch the door with her foot before it slammed shut behind him. She didn't think she'd be able to get it open again if she let it shut, since both her hands were engaged with carrying more food - her own efforts, while slightly less zealous than Wolf's, having been more carefully tailored to what she knew the crew liked and Wolf hadn't made.

All in all, she thought with satisfaction, joining Wolf at the table and sliding some of her own dishes into the gaps he'd left, they'd probably done a fairly good job between them. It wouldn't do to let Luffy down, after all, when he'd gone to the trouble of organizing a party!

Her stomach had been rumbling all morning, and Tank Girl, being the charming slacker that she was, had put off getting up until the party was actually ready to start. After all, if she waited long enough, there'd be food, right? And the best part of it was that it was made by someone else. She didn't have to go anywhere near the kitchen, which was how she liked it. Besides, the girl with red hair and the mice sort of creeped her out...

And look! She was right. Pushing past the two people who were putting food out on the table, she grabbed a plate and started to load it up as if there were no tomorrow. Ooo! And there was even tea! "Looks like you two're the ones to get to know for grub around here, huh?"

Oh good. It seemed as if they'd made it before most of the guests arrived. Just as Wolf finished emptying the carts he was suddenly knocked out of the way by a rather ravenous party guest. Wolf had to appreciate a girl who could put away the food but what he didn't appreciate was her disrespect towards the cooks.

"Ah-ah-ah!" He snatched her plate away from her and placed it down at the far end of the table. "Shovers have to wait their turn!" Giving her an obnoxiously sweet smile, Wolf turned and grabbed his carts, wheeling them into a back corner of the room where they wouldn't get in the way. Darned if he was going to take those things all the way back to the galley only to bring them back down again later.

The loud sound of running footsteps signaled another arrival, and it was with great excitement that Momiji burst into the storage room, two giant baskets hooked under either arm filled to the brim with candy. "I brought the candy~" he sang. Spotting the table, he zipped over and set them there with a echoing thump.

Momiji's voice was what attracted Selphie's attention before the baskets were set onto the table, and not being able to help herself, she giggled. Despite not being able to tell if this kid was a girl or a boy -- although she was leaning toward a very pretty boy -- they were really cute, and their enthusiasm was totally contagious.

"Heeeey, don't we have enough candy?" she teased from her place by the table, not serious at all. You could never have enough candy, you know.

Momiji turned at the voice, beaming brightly at her. "Nope~ You can't ever have enough candy! Help yourself!" He laughed and pulled a lollipop from the pile, popping it into his mouth. "Mm! Cherry flavored!"

He released his hold on the lollipop's stick, holding his hand out. "Hi, I'm Momiji! What's your name?"

Taking a lollipop for herself without unwrapping it first, the cowboy hat-donning girl reached out her own hand to shake his, feeling just a little silly. After all, they were both pretty young, weren't they? It was kinda... strange.

"I'm Selphie! Are you new on board? 'cause I've never seen you before," she inquired, mirroring his contagious smile.

He was sooo cute.

Striding purposefully down the hallway, Riku made his way towards the storage room party. He had seen the post on the network at least thirty minutes earlier, but rather than head downstairs at that very moment he chose to stall until people had a chance to show up.

The first to arrive would probably get stuck in conversation with that spastic host kid. Besides that, the silver haired teen wasn't all that eager to attend any sort of cramped quarters function deep in the bowels of the ship. He slowed his pace as he drew nearer to the party, still contemplating turning around as the sounds of laughing and talking grew louder with each step. Sora didn't have any reason to expect him, after all.

Reaching the doorway he peered around the corner, quietly surveying the activity within.

"If you're wanting the chaos to end before going to the party, you'll be waiting for...like, forever."

Rikku liked parties as much as the next girl, but she didn't like them when they were distracting her from Very Important Projects. Namely, a drum-playing monkey.

She'd been heading down to shut the door to the bay (or get earplugs, whichever) when she saw Riku looking in at the party.

Rikku scratched at her legs. Not having the braces was taking some getting used to.

The pale teen was so intent upon the activity inside the storage room that he failed to keep watch upon the hallway behind him as well. Startled by the sudden closeness of a stranger's voice the blacksmith spun to face the rear approaching spectator, losing his balance in the process. A single step backwards was enough to place him square in the center of the doorway, in plain sight of the party goers.

Riku crouched with his arms outstretched in absolute stillness, glancing over his shoulder before staring wide eyed at the blonde. Nimbly stepping back out of the line of sight (it seemed everyone was too pre-occupied to notice him, anyways) he turned his startled expression into a friendly but undeniably intense glare.

Tossing his hair over his shoulder, he responded, "Well, there isn't much chaos 'til you show up, anyways. What took you?" He knew Rikku was one of Sora's closest friends, and had already taken note of her absence.

"I was working on something," Rikku explained, "but the party started to sound like too much fun. Why aren't you in there, huh?"

There was something wrong about a guy who's hair was almost as long as hers. There really was.
