Another chilly day
* It's Friday and it's cold again. It seems that any traces of summer are long gone. But knowing this Iowa weather, there will still be a few days that will warm up just to tease us.
* Don't have much to say right now. Rob is constantly working on the Miata and so I've been spending a lot of time alone lately.

* A "good friend" of mine planted seeds of self doubt and resentment in my brain quite awhile back. Today those seeds sprouted into a sapling of torment. Managed to ebb my anger with music, cleaning, and cake baking ( Read more... ) -
Winter is approaching.
* There's more than a hint of Autumn today. Granted, it might warm up as the day goes on, but right now the breeze is chilly to a point where its made my morning smoke in the hammock uncomfortable. It's sad to see the summer end. I'm not prepared for it ( Read more... ) -
Autumn.
* There's a touch of Autumn in the midnight air. I'm not ready for summer to be over. I still want to go swimming and sleep in my hammock. I still want to be barefoot. This is probably one of the few summers that I've enjoyed since being a kid and having school vacation. I don't really know what did it. But I've had a good time.

Labor Day
* April and I went to a labor day celebration in Sheldon. It was pretty small and local but it occupied our time well. My parents were there selling food and drink. Things went well for the them and they sold out. The parade was meh like usual. I had a few instances where my mouth got me in trouble. improvement on the homefront
Lola and Laika have actually started to play together. Lola gives Laika about an hour or so a day in which she allows Laika to play "at" her. After that, Lola goes back to menacing Laika with growls and bare teeth ( Read more... )
