Poop, food, formula, I might have done something wrong

I bought frozen squash the last time I did grocery shopping but I wasn't sure what the texture was. It's basically a puree so I warmed some up in my ill/sleepy coma like state the other night. I tried giving Seamus some and as much as he seemed to like the idea of eating something off of a spoon he spit out almost everything put in his mouth. He ( Read more... )

I haven't offered water because I nursed before, then after, and I think they got a bottle either before or after. I forget now ( ... )

the first time trying solids, and she actually had a solid poop, i decided then and there she would breastfeed until she could wipe her own ass. holy crap. poor baby =[. i would wait a little while longer. have they tried to take food from you guys yet? tegan neevver ate anything remotely baby foodish. she would not eat mashed potatoes, or any of the jar baby food. i tried cream corn one day, and she would eat that.. but not much. i just started taking her to davids job when he was still at the restaurant and the lady there made veggie the good ol fashioned southern way.. and she had beans and peas and sweet potatoes and carrots and stuff like that.. so i tried the real veggies first. i knew how she cooked her stuff, and it wasnt salted to hell or drowning in butter, and she would ALWAYS fix her a plate to send home.. but that wasnt until she was getting loud about wanting whatever we were doing. i have had to bicycle her legs sooo many times.

even at two, t still has a hard time going to sleep on her own for a nap. as in.. it never happens. boobjuice apparently is the secret shit to knock a kid out cold. and, according to another lj friend of mine who helped his wife out with her engorgement, it will knock anyone out cold. i have in the last few months got her to where she will go to bed for the night without nursing, but she still asks. and we do have quilts over our windows lol.

that is a pretty good amount, for real. as long as i was lactating i never got that much pumping, ever. ever. i was lucky if i got one or two from each side

Okay so, when I was four, we went up to Maine where there was no indoor plumbing and thus, an outhouse. And I was TERRIFIED of pooping in the outhouse.

So I didn't poop. For a week. My parents literally had to bribe me with a stuffed animal. As I recall, it was one of those cute little white seals. Whenever I look at it now, I totally burst out laughing because it's like it's saying to me, "POOP, ANNIE! POOP!"
