Parenting is set up by society to be this mystical experience (that we should be able to perform perfectly utterly devoid of all societal support). It's not. It's one day at a time. Is it all worth it for what we get out of it? Sure it is. But it doesn't mean it's not difficult and it doesn't mean kids can't be a big old pain sometimes.
