For the last week, Ellie had finally gotten to the point where she admittedly didn't want to do much but rest. Just going to do normal things became more exhausting than they used to, and she was more than ready for it all to be done with. It'd felt like a while since Ellie felt like being around food without feeling ill. That seemed to pass now, and things were mostly back to normal. She took advantage of that, of course. Ellie felt a mix of emotions walking into the clinic with Devon. As exciting as it was that they were going to see the baby for the first time, there was an underlying anxiousness that came from what she hoped was the usual worries - was the baby healthy? Ellie had managed, rather successfully, to keep herself together. Chuck was having a hard time, and the last thing he needed was to have to deal with his slightly over emotional sister, too. Ellie had been feeling sick lately. It wasn't really anything that stood out at her at first - an upset stomach wasn't out of the ordinary, and she could attribute it to a lot of reasons why it was there. Ellie had been planning on heading back to her hut, but with her being in the Compound, she figured she ought to put together some lunch for herself. Grabbing some ingredients, she eventually settled on making a small batch of egg salad. It would take her a little time, but it'd been so long since she'd last had it it would be worth the wait ( Read more... ) -

Ellie actually found herself to be more productive in the Compound, especially when there were tables to sit at when she did her work. She'd settled in the rec room, with her things all set in front of her. She didn't have much to do, but she wanted to get it over with anyway. There were some things Ellie knew Devon couldn't be part of. Trying on her dress was definitely one of them. It didn't take her long to let everyone know what happened, and she set up a time the next day for everyone to come around to see what she'd gotten.
