Ellie had been having a pretty regular day. Things had quieted down - again - on the island, and anyone she knew had turned back to their proper selves. She was glad, to say the least; figuring out who was who got to be exhausting.

She'd only come back to put a bowl of fruit she'd brought from the Compound in the hut. She liked having little things around the hut in case anyone got hungry and didn't want to walk, and it'd been close to empty that morning. She'd been picking on the grapes she had in the bowl as she went into the hut. It was perhaps because of that that she didn't see it until she nearly bumped into it. When she did notice it, though, it had her full attention.

"Oh, my god," she said, startled enough to drop the bowl she'd been carrying. The fruit rolled effortlessly onto the ground, but, for the moment, she was too shocked to realized she'd dropped anything. In the middle of the hut, for no reason at all, was a beautiful wedding dress, showcased on a simple dress stand. It was exactly the kind of thing she'd wanted, but hadn't hoped to get, with how the island was.

Why it was there now despite that was the real question, and one that left Ellie dumbfounded.
