When we get French films here in the States, they're usually dramas and frequently star Gérard Depardieu, so can I be excused for not knowing that the French make awesome action movies? How is it that I can watch a horror movie and not be scared once (because I find modern horror movies more disgusting than scary), yet they always give me nightmares that are ten times scarier than the movie could ever hope to be?
