Well-written. I had one quibble though. You say, "Opponents claim that a vegan diet is an indulgence since the poor must eat whatever is available, and cannot afford to be so picky. This argument assumes that highly processed specialty foods make up the bulk of a vegan diet."

I think of veganism as class-based, but not because I assume highly processed specialty foods are a part of it; I believe it's because fruits and vegetables make up a large part of the diet, and those are *more* expensive than highly processed foods, and less accessible, in many areas. Obviously this would differ from area to area, but around my neighborhood, even when the farmer's market is in season, it's cheaper to make a meal of carbs (rice/pasta/potatoes) and (cheap varieties of) meat than it is to have a meal comprised primarily of fresh veggies.

Are copies of this going to be distributed? If so, there's a few typos I noticed and can point out if you want.

I'd love to have typos pointed out. After a while I see what I meant to type, not what I actually did ( ... )

I printed off a copy and went over it and found lots of things that needed changing. Thanks for the heads up. I'll print off the copies tomorrow.
