Still wearing the outfit she'd been dressed in at her home office desk, Parvati pulled on a blue sweater to accent her outfit. She retouched her lipstick and walked into the bar.
Ordering an Amaretto Sour, Parvati sat down at the bar and checked out the list of the auction winners. She hoped Romilda would show up soon so they could gossip about the winners and dish about their excursion to the Quidditch Playoffs on Monday!
Parvati looked around to see if there was anyone else in the bar she knew. It had been a while since she'd been out this early, even on a Friday. But, she reasoned, she deserved a break.

Slipping into something more suitable for a night out, she apparated over to the Leaky, being a bit more lazy than usual, in anticipation of the pending auction results.

She motioned for Romilda to join her at the bar, and when she sat down next to her, Parvati half-whispered into her ear, "So, what do you think about this whole auction business?"
Reply
"Well," she whispered back, "I don't quite know what to make of mine. The glass blowing lesson could be fun, but seems a bit... well, normal for my taste, and Susan seems a bit normal as well, not that that's a bad thing, just... not my type, if you know what I mean." She winked at Parvati's giggle. "And Penny, well, I remember the name from my days at Hogwarts and I think I was supposed to cover some party she threw at some point here in London, but she works at the Ministry! How is this supposed to help me meet new people in the name of a good charity, right? What about you?"

"Excuse me," said Parvati in her most even tone. "I'm Parvati Patil. I thought I might come introduce myself. Narcissa Black Malfoy, I presume."
She lifted her hand lightly and extended it between the two women, waiting for a handshake.

"Would you like to sit? I'm here alone and certainly don't mind the company, even briefly," she offered as she settled back in her chair. "I must admit that I'm glad you happened to be here this evening. Since you've won me for the evening, it will be nice to have a face to put with the name."

Narcissa was aghast at the last statement and Parvati felt the need to explain herself. "Oh, it's nothing dangerous or stupid," she said in her defense. "I'm a fashion designer and seamstress. I have my own shop just off of Diagon Alley. I offered up a custom set of dress robes for the auction, actually. And I just finished a gown for Parminder Nagra, who is an up-and-coming actress in the Muggle film industry, though I believe she is actually a witch."
Parvati was talking waaaay too much. Perhaps it was the Mai Tai she'd already finished somehow or perhaps it was being in the company of such a beautiful, distinguished, classy, leggy blonde.
"What is it that you do these days, besides take young witches to the theatre?"

Foruntately, she'd had better luck with her bidding. True, she'd originally bid on the bloke offering the fencing lessons because that sounded like a lot of fun and she'd bid on Sirius...just because, but Padma was pleasant company and a day at the spa was always enjoyable.
She'd originally intended to just drop by to see the auction results on her way home from meeting with a client, however, a drink didn't sound bad. True, she was a bit overdressed for the Leaky but there were other people dressed up so she figured it was ( ... )

"Did you participate in that auction thing?" She only looked for her name and didn't pay much attention to anything else. She sat back and hooked her bare leg around the side of the stool as she sipped her drink.

"Tracey, if I remember correctly? I met you with Padma and Pansy, here. A night to remember, to be honest. I auctioned up a night on the town, easy enough, and I don't know the witch who won, thinks she works at the Ministry or some other droll past time. What are you drinking?" Romilda crossed her legs, allowing the tan skin to show a bit more than normally would have in the short kimono dress she wore.

When she entered the pub, there already were quite a few people inside, Penny spotting a few she recognized. Heading over to the notice board she saw the bit that read that there had been a mix-up of bids. "Oh great," she muttered under her breath, scanning the list. She had won... Romilda Vane... and... Remus Lupin had won her. Well, at least it would be interesting, she told herself, looking over the others and smiling at bit to herself. Well, it was for charity after all, wasn't it?

Walking over to him, she smiled slightly. "Hi. It's... Sirius, isn't it? Black? I thought I recognized you from somewhere. One of my close friends told me quite a bit about you. I'm Penny by the way. Isn't it funny how mixed up all the bidding got?" Smiling, she threw one last look at the board.

"Nice to meet you, Penny. It is pretty funny, although I can't say I'm too happy with some of the winning bids." Namely, one by Severus Sodding Snape, "I may have to have a little talk with the organizers, if they decide it's safe to show their faces here."
"Say, didn't you used to date Percy Weasley?"

When she heard Percy's name mentioned, she nodded again. "Yes, that's actually how I knew about you. Percy talked about you quite a bit." Then, as an afterthought she added, "But that was eight years ago. I'm just glad we're still good friends."
