Parvati decided she would in fact take Romilda up on her offer to head over to the Leaky for a pint, but decided instead of walking that she would just Apparate over to save a little time. She needed a break from her designs and was starting to get a headache from the amount of drawing she'd been doing.

Still wearing the outfit she'd been dressed in at her home office desk, Parvati pulled on a blue sweater to accent her outfit. She retouched her lipstick and walked into the bar.

Ordering an Amaretto Sour, Parvati sat down at the bar and checked out the list of the auction winners. She hoped Romilda would show up soon so they could gossip about the winners and dish about their excursion to the Quidditch Playoffs on Monday!

Parvati looked around to see if there was anyone else in the bar she knew. It had been a while since she'd been out this early, even on a Friday. But, she reasoned, she deserved a break.

Romilda stopped off at her flat in a hurry to change after what had become a much longer day at the office than she had thought it would be. Then again, she had gotten some fun OWLing done and had lunch with a very cute blond wizard from a few floors below hers and had felt it wasn't at all a waste of a day.

Slipping into something more suitable for a night out, she apparated over to the Leaky, being a bit more lazy than usual, in anticipation of the pending auction results.

"Romilda, dear!" Parvati waved at her friend as she walked in the door. "It's been quite an exhausting week for me... I'm drinking a Mai Tai, would you like to join? They're quite strong, but very tasty (not like that firewhiskey!)."

She motioned for Romilda to join her at the bar, and when she sat down next to her, Parvati half-whispered into her ear, "So, what do you think about this whole auction business?"

Romilda saw Paravti wave to her and nodded a hello with a smile. She sat down next to her friend at the bar and declined a Mai Tai, instead she ordered a Cuba Libre from Tom - who grumbled slightly at the request for a muggle concoction - and leaned in to hear what Parvati was whispering about.

"Well," she whispered back, "I don't quite know what to make of mine. The glass blowing lesson could be fun, but seems a bit... well, normal for my taste, and Susan seems a bit normal as well, not that that's a bad thing, just... not my type, if you know what I mean." She winked at Parvati's giggle. "And Penny, well, I remember the name from my days at Hogwarts and I think I was supposed to cover some party she threw at some point here in London, but she works at the Ministry! How is this supposed to help me meet new people in the name of a good charity, right? What about you?"

After she was sure that the store was ready for the weekend, Narcissa left it in the capable hands of Darla. It was actually pretty early to go home so she decided to go ahead and drop by the Leaky Cauldron to see how the auction festivities were going ( ... )

Parvati wandered over to the back of the pub to the table where the leggy blonde was sitting.

"Excuse me," said Parvati in her most even tone. "I'm Parvati Patil. I thought I might come introduce myself. Narcissa Black Malfoy, I presume."

She lifted her hand lightly and extended it between the two women, waiting for a handshake.

Narcissa looked up from her drink to see a pretty young woman standing by her table. She smiled as the woman spoke and nodded. "Yes, I'm Narcissa," she said as she leaned forward to take Parvati's hand. "It's nice to meet you, Parvati. You have soft hands. What do you use?"

"Would you like to sit? I'm here alone and certainly don't mind the company, even briefly," she offered as she settled back in her chair. "I must admit that I'm glad you happened to be here this evening. Since you've won me for the evening, it will be nice to have a face to put with the name."

"Why, thank you!" she said as she sat down. "I actually use this very inexpensive Muggle product called Jergen's. It's a simple hand lotion. It does wonders, though. Especially after a long day poking myself with needles and pins."

Narcissa was aghast at the last statement and Parvati felt the need to explain herself. "Oh, it's nothing dangerous or stupid," she said in her defense. "I'm a fashion designer and seamstress. I have my own shop just off of Diagon Alley. I offered up a custom set of dress robes for the auction, actually. And I just finished a gown for Parminder Nagra, who is an up-and-coming actress in the Muggle film industry, though I believe she is actually a witch."

Parvati was talking waaaay too much. Perhaps it was the Mai Tai she'd already finished somehow or perhaps it was being in the company of such a beautiful, distinguished, classy, leggy blonde.

"What is it that you do these days, besides take young witches to the theatre?"

Severus Bloody Snape? Tracey stared at the announcement and grimaced. Magical mishap her arse! That was just punishment, slow and torturous. She had never been particularly fond of her former Head of House and certainly hadn't enjoyed his potions class despite being fairly decent at the subject. An afternoon in his company, especially somewhere that she enjoyed visiting, was just nothing to get excited about. Well, she'd just be polite and friendly while making sure they stayed far too busy to actually converse.

Foruntately, she'd had better luck with her bidding. True, she'd originally bid on the bloke offering the fencing lessons because that sounded like a lot of fun and she'd bid on Sirius...just because, but Padma was pleasant company and a day at the spa was always enjoyable.

She'd originally intended to just drop by to see the auction results on her way home from meeting with a client, however, a drink didn't sound bad. True, she was a bit overdressed for the Leaky but there were other people dressed up so she figured it was ( ... )

Wandering from Parvati's chair at the bar, Romilda walked slowly toward the woman that she knew she recognized. She stopped just behind her, but not too close - though close enough to smell something exotic and very much like sex on the witch - she said quietly, "Care to let a young witch buy you a drink?" and waited.

Tracey glanced behind her and arched a brow as she tried to place a name to the woman. "Romilda, right?" she asked before she nodded at the empty stool beside her. "You can sit, if you'd like, and I'm not one to turn away a free drink."

"Did you participate in that auction thing?" She only looked for her name and didn't pay much attention to anything else. She sat back and hooked her bare leg around the side of the stool as she sipped her drink.

Romilda nodded slightly, acknowledging her name as she sat. She suddenly remember the woman's voice and her face - beautiful full lips, flowing dark hair, and skin that just begs to be touched. Roughly.

"Tracey, if I remember correctly? I met you with Padma and Pansy, here. A night to remember, to be honest. I auctioned up a night on the town, easy enough, and I don't know the witch who won, thinks she works at the Ministry or some other droll past time. What are you drinking?" Romilda crossed her legs, allowing the tan skin to show a bit more than normally would have in the short kimono dress she wore.

Having gotten off work, Penny had gone home and changed into a butterfly blouse and short skirt, ready to spend her night reading when she remembered that the auction results should be in today at the Leaky Cauldron. Excited to go see if she had gotten lucky, she left her apartment and apparated over, not bothering to walk this time.

When she entered the pub, there already were quite a few people inside, Penny spotting a few she recognized. Heading over to the notice board she saw the bit that read that there had been a mix-up of bids. "Oh great," she muttered under her breath, scanning the list. She had won... Romilda Vane... and... Remus Lupin had won her. Well, at least it would be interesting, she told herself, looking over the others and smiling at bit to herself. Well, it was for charity after all, wasn't it?

Sirius strolled into The Leaky and ordered a firewhisky on the rocks from the bar. He was dressed casually, a dark button-down with rolled up sleeves with black jeans and his motorcycle boots. He took a sip of his drink when Tom passed it to him, and then headed over to the posted winners to see who'd won him, and if he'd gotten who he bid on ( ... )

After having taken a look at the notice board, Penny let her eyes roam over the other people in the pub. She noticed Romilda Vane - she'd have to talk to her before the evening was over with concerning her having, er, 'won' her. But then her eyes fell on a very attractive looking man by himself. She thought she recognized him from somewhere, just wasn't sure where. Oh - wait. Sirius Black, her head told her suddenly. Percy had mentioned him.

Walking over to him, she smiled slightly. "Hi. It's... Sirius, isn't it? Black? I thought I recognized you from somewhere. One of my close friends told me quite a bit about you. I'm Penny by the way. Isn't it funny how mixed up all the bidding got?" Smiling, she threw one last look at the board.

Sirius watched the redheaded woman approach him. She looked vaguely familiar. Wasn't she Percy's ex from Hogwarts? Well, that had been a while ago, and she wasn't a schoolgirl anymore. He glanced at Tracey, who was still talking to another woman, and then back at Penny.

"Nice to meet you, Penny. It is pretty funny, although I can't say I'm too happy with some of the winning bids." Namely, one by Severus Sodding Snape, "I may have to have a little talk with the organizers, if they decide it's safe to show their faces here."

"Say, didn't you used to date Percy Weasley?"

Penny nodded, glad to have his attention. "I have to agree, some of them did come out rather... unfavorable," she agreed, noting Percy having won a 'fancy dinner date with Parvati Patil and frowning. "I wonder if we're allowed to trade with people?"

When she heard Percy's name mentioned, she nodded again. "Yes, that's actually how I knew about you. Percy talked about you quite a bit." Then, as an afterthought she added, "But that was eight years ago. I'm just glad we're still good friends."
