And the winners are... )
When she entered, she stopped by the list and scanned it for her name. She arched a brow when she saw that she'd won the young man who was offering photographs for some magazine. She certainly didn't remember bidding on that but perhaps the magical mishap note had affected her bids. While she thought she was too old for such a thing, it might be fun. It appeared she had been won by someone named Parvati Patil, a name that she didn't recognize. Oh well, it was for charity and she really did need to get out more.
After she checked on Lucius to see who had won him, she noticed Bill's name as well as Regulus'. She also noticed that Theodore had participated, which reminded her that she really needed to owl him. And it seemed that Pansy had won her niece. It was nice to recognize some of the names, and she smiled as she walked to the bar to order a drink. The pub wasn't very crowded so she made her way to a table near the back, keeping her eyes open in case Pansy did show up.

"Excuse me," said Parvati in her most even tone. "I'm Parvati Patil. I thought I might come introduce myself. Narcissa Black Malfoy, I presume."
She lifted her hand lightly and extended it between the two women, waiting for a handshake.

"Would you like to sit? I'm here alone and certainly don't mind the company, even briefly," she offered as she settled back in her chair. "I must admit that I'm glad you happened to be here this evening. Since you've won me for the evening, it will be nice to have a face to put with the name."

Narcissa was aghast at the last statement and Parvati felt the need to explain herself. "Oh, it's nothing dangerous or stupid," she said in her defense. "I'm a fashion designer and seamstress. I have my own shop just off of Diagon Alley. I offered up a custom set of dress robes for the auction, actually. And I just finished a gown for Parminder Nagra, who is an up-and-coming actress in the Muggle film industry, though I believe she is actually a witch."
Parvati was talking waaaay too much. Perhaps it was the Mai Tai she'd already finished somehow or perhaps it was being in the company of such a beautiful, distinguished, classy, leggy blonde.
"What is it that you do these days, besides take young witches to the theatre?"

Entering the pub, she smoothed the fabric of her dress with the sweet little cut out back....and the front she hoped would make at least one person drool. More would be better.
She noticed Cissa with what had to be Padma's sister, and Pansy headed over before she even went to the bar. "Now, what are two stunning looking ladies such as yourselves doing on such a lovely evening?" she said with a smile. "Miss Narcissa, you look wonderful, as always," she added. "And you must be Parvati," she said, extending her hand to the stranger.
Reply
Narcissa smiled. "I know Muggle cinema vaguely but don't recognize that name at all. Congratulations on such a wonderful commission."
"I run a shop here on Diagon called Narcissus. My son bought it for me and I keep up with the day to day. We sell beauty products and cosmetics, potions along those lines," she explained. Before she could elaborate, Pansy interrupted.
"Pansy, you look lovely," she complimented as she admired the dress, not sure she would ever be bold enough to wear something that sexual in public. On Pansy, it looked beautiful. "Would you like to sit and have a drink? Parvati has won me in the auction so we're just getting to know one another."

She turned back to Narcissa. "I haven't been into your shop, but have passed by a few times. I've been hard pressed for free time due to the commission and designing the fall line."
She looked at the stranger and tried not to drool outright. "Pansy, Pansy Parkinson? From Hogwarts? What are you up to these days?"
Reply
"Congratulations," she told Parvati. "You're a very lucky lady. I bid for Narcissa, myself," she admitted. "She's ever so nice," she added. Not to mention drop dead drooling gorgeous...
"Yes, Pansy Parkinson. Do you remember me?" she smiled. "I've only been around for a short bit, recently. Narcissa's son was kind enough to let me run his gallery for him..."
You have a shop?" she asked Parvati curiously. "What do you sell?"
Reply
"I remember you vaguely. We were in the same year at Hogwarts, I believe. Weren't you in Slytherin? My twin sister Padma was in Ravenclaw and I was in Gryffindor. But that was a very long time ago."
"I have a shop, just around the bend, right off Diagon Alley, between here and the Muggle section of London. I'm a fashion designer and a seamstress and I run my own boutique."
Reply
"I was just telling Parvati before you arrived that I shall have to make it a point to go see her shop. I have such a weakness for clothes," she admitted sheepishly. It was wonderful to be able to afford to indulge in buying nice clothes, even if she was still rather thrifty on most other things.
"Did you end up winning someone, Pansy? I noticed that you'd been won but didn't pay enough attention to see if you'd also won an offer."

She listened to Parvati talk about her shop and then Narcissa say she was going to go see it. "Oooh, I want to come, too!" she said. "I enjoy shopping with Narcissa. She has wonderful taste." Plus Narcissa will share a dressing room...something she couldn't see Terry doing.
"What do you design, Parvati?" she asked. "What type of fashion?"
Pansy giggled. "Oh, yes, I won someone. Your niece, in fact. Which has me quite excited as I ran into her at Harry's sleuthing place the other day, and we seemed to hit it off quite well." Pansy smirked, remembering how well they'd taken to each other. "She's a lovely woman," she told Cissa. "I'm not as sure how the person who won me is going to respond," she confided. "I'd only just met him recently. He had lovely hair and the most seductive sneer...and a stunning partner that I spent the rest of the evening trying to seduce away from him!" Pansy laughed, shrugging.

She looked back at Pansy and responded with a quick description of the kinds of clothing she designed and told her to drop by the shop for some sketches of clothing or to try on some of her premade dress robes.
"I'd love to design something for the gallery, if you and Draco would be interested in that. Just let me know if there's an opportunity. Besides, I might just have to design a set of robes for you. You've got a beautiful figure and I'd love to see it in some real Indian silk. If you'll front the money for the dress, I'll design you a custom Parvati Petal outfit."
She turned toward Narcissa and said, "You'd look wonderful in one of my white pant suits this summer."
"I'm planning a trip to Rome to fabric shop for the fall collection very soon, but when I get back in a few weeks, I'd love to have you both in the boutique for a fitting. Just send me an owl, if you're interested."
She gathered up her purse and stood up. "I'm sorry to be rude, but I see someone I must say hello to. Please do come by the shop or owl anytime."
Parvati winked at both beautiful women and headed across the bar to find Andy.

She smiled. "I'll drop by your shop when I get the opportunity," she promised. "Or owl you if you'd like it to be more formal. I hope you enjoy Rome. Draco and I were just over in Venice recently and it was lovely."
"It was nice to meet you, Parvati. Feel free to owl me any time so we can make arrangements for our dinner and theatre outing."
Once Parvati was gone, she looked at Pansy. "She seems very nice," she observed before she took a drink. "I'm sure you have other people you'd like to mingle with so please don't feel you must sit here and entertain me."
Reply
"Must be a guy," Pansy remarked as Parvati hurried away. "She does. Her sister is quite the lovely lady," she added.
Pansy smiled. "Like I'm going to run off and leave you alone..." she told Narcissa. "You're the most beautiful woman in here. I can be perfectly happy just basking in your loveliness," she said extravagantly.
Reply
"Basking in my loveliness?" She laughed and shook her head. "Well, I'm glad it makes you happy at any rate. I love that dress on you, by the way. It's very flattering."
"How has your week gone, Pansy? Were you still planning to play matchmaker for Michael this evening?"
Reply
She grinned, preening. "Thank you! It's quite daring, but I was in the mood..." She shrugged.
Pansy snorted. "I think he's wise to me, or something. He keeps disappearing whenever I'm around. I think he's avoiding me..." she confided. "But if not tonight, then Terry will stop by the gallery. No one escapes the matchmaker!" she asserted with a laugh.
