As he hurried into the Leaky, worried he'd be late, Jack noticed the auction poster. He'd bid in a rush just last night, on his quick trip back to the office for some forgotten paperwork, and he sighed in relief to see that he'd be spending a day at the dragon preserve. Though Jack didn't think he'd ever actually met Charlie, he liked the Weasleys he did know - and there was always Quidditch or flying if the conversation lagged.
Jack pushed his way through the growing crowd and ordered a pint, looking around the room.

He dashed off to the Leaky, quickly shoving his tie in his pocket and rolling uphis shirt sleeves. Kevin was sure he smelled like ink, parchment, and office but hoped Jack wouldn't mind. When he arrived at the bar, he quickly saw Jack meandering through the crowd.
"Hi," he said, leaning in to press his lips briefly against Jack's jaw.
"Sorry I'm late. Long meeting, you know."

On his way back, Jack slipped through the crowd and up behind Kevin, quietly sliding his arms around the other man's waist. "Missed you," he said softly. "There wasn't a lot to do, other than listen to Senhor Cabral theorize about Bludger weight."

That he felt that way surprised him, but he was curious to see where it would lead.
When Jack came back, Kevin leaned back against him slightly. "A ringing endorsement," he joked. "Glad you're back, though. How was Portugal?"

When Andy arrived at the bar, there was already a pretty good crowd, even for a Friday. He made his way to the bar and ordered a scotch and soda, in the mood for something stronger than his usual beer.
As he sipped his drink, he glanced around and looked for familiar faces.

"Excuse me," she almost whispered,"I'm looking for a young man named Andy Kirke. He's been M.I.A. since I've sent a few owls to him regarding a Quidditch match on Monday. I was hoping to find him so that we could have a drink. Do you think he'll show up tonight?" Parvati winked at him as she set down her purse on the bar and sat down next to him.

After a moment her woods penetrated his brain and his smile nearly vanished. "Your owls. Um." He flushed scarlet. He really had been meaning to reply, but work had been busy and, well, it was no excuse and really how bloody stupid could he be to not reply to a really pretty girl who apparently wanted to spend time with him.
"I'm really sorry, Parvati. To be such a wanker. I totally meant to owl back. Could I buy you a drink? And if you still want, we can talk about the Quidditch match." He gave her an embarrassed smile.

"I really enjoyed getting to know you last time. I'd hoped you'd like to meet up for a drink, but I'm sure you've been busy and I've practically been a hermit since then."
Parvati turned toward him and looked him straight in the eye.
"So, you participated in the auction, right? Are you happy with what you wound up with?" she asked casually. "I know some people weren't very happy with their outcomes."

change of clothes, he apparated just outside the door.
Wondering who else would have shown up to look at the results, he walked in the door and made his way to the bar.

He ignored the commotion in the pub at first, trying to get close enough to Tom to place his order when he heard his name. Eyes narrowed, he fought through the crowd and read the list posted at its epicenter.
"What is the meaning of this?" he snarled to no one in particular. Lupin. This was ALL LUPIN'S FAULT. He was going to have to have a word or two with his mate. No one else could be responsible.

She had an idea for the twins about making a potion that would make the sperm a different color or flavor, but they still weren't back, evidently, so she instead pondered asking about ordering the gender bending jelly in bulk. Surely there had to be a better way to do it long term, but then... the jelly was pretty tasty.
Since she hadn't had an opportunity to wear her blue dress ensemble, she decided too now, and was quite pleased with the result. The scarf really pulled the whole thing together, she thought ( ... )

"Ah, Ms. Lovegood," he said, the name coming to him in a moment of inspiration, "Not wearing radishes dangling from our ears today, I see. How dreadful- were they moldy?"
Reply
"Oh no! There aren't any Radrigals in London! They only infest Hogwarts! Why would I need to wear radishes in London?" She shook her head and gave Snape an indulgent look as if he were so very ignorant.
She threw her arms around Snape to hug him and sprung back before he had a chance to reject the affection. "Oh goodness, I forgot how funny you were! I only wish I'd been in Slytherin! Then I would've met Theo sooner and would've gotten to laugh all of the time! Although Professor Flitwick was very kind. Very kind. But not nearly so funny as you!" she exclaimed before pinching his cheek.
"Did you see the article I wrote about you?"

Fleur nudged her way to a space where she was able to read it and her eyes widened, her heart possibly skipping a beat. Bill Weasley. Bill Weasley had won her. Well this could get interesting. Maybe after she got over her shock, she could pay attention to everyone else in the bar.

There was someone standing right in front of the poster, blocking his view. She was a tall woman, with sleek blonde hair that was pulled back. If she'd turn around, he was sure he'd recognize her.
"Excuse me, but could I see the list also?" he asked politely.

She quirked her lips as she looked over the face she hadn't seen in a long while, reigning herself in as much as possible before murmering, "Allo Bill... It has been a while, oui?"

Fleur. Another brief relationship that had gone bad it became obvious she was looking for something he couldn't provide: Stability, reliability, and a commitment.
"Good evening Fleur," he answered politely. "I didn't realize you were living around here still. Did you enter the auction as well?"
