Fox (Bandit) speaks on Politics...

As a rule, I tend not to debate about SRS TOPICS on the Internet... including politics. Which is why I don't bring UP politics, in case it causes debate. So this is will quite possibly be the only post I'll ever make about politics.

My views in a nutshell:

Obama, because for all that the Vice-President is supposed to be a figurehead/scapegoat, McCain isn't in the best of health and Palin is woefully uninformed. She doesn't even know what the Bush foreign policy is or how it differs from previous policy. McCain has a good head on his shoulders; Palin doesn't. Both Obama and Biden at least know what they are talking about.

Ignorance certainly doesn't become the president!

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. =)

I'd say Obama, because Palin horrifies the hell out of me and I cannot get over how McCain is using 9/11 for political gain and agreeing with Bush 90% of the time.

Um that I may be more informed on issues than her? She made people buy rape kits. She lies through her teeth - badly.

Gotcha.

Ignore the icon I used, btw. I selected one that was supposed to be of Katara with a DO NOT WANT face, buuuuuut for some reason LJ switched out that icon with some weird "HURT" icon I've never seen before?! Weird.

I think it's possible to be pro-life and be a feminist. The issue, I think, lies more in deciding that you/the government/etc has the right to tell SOME OTHER woman what to do with her body, to imply that she isn't capable of making her own decisions.

I mean the general "you," of course, not you specifically.

Also, please, if you do decide you want to vote this election, take some time to watch the debates, read up on the candidates, generally inform yourself before you do so. If you just don't feel like you care enough, then maybe you should sit this one out. I don't mean that in a patronizing way, I just...you know, I don't want to tell other people how to vote, and if you genuinely decide you support McCain I'm not going to tell you not to vote for him, but I'd hate for you to vote for him on a whim, if you know what I mean ( ... )

1st paragraph - yeah, I agree 100%. That's why I'm doing things like this (posting on LJ). Obviously it isn't the only thing I'm doing to inform myself, but it's one small thing among many ( ... )

(Before I get into this, I personally don't think the government should ban abortions. In my current thinking, anyway. Obviously, that's in keeping with my more libertarian thinking ( ... )

I think the fact that there's two or three FactCheck articles about McCain's campaign for every one there is about Obama's speaks for itself, especially when you consider the fact that the distortions and lies the McCain campaign are almost uniformly worse than the ones the Obama campaign's putting out. Combine that with the fact that McCain voted with Bush 95% of the time...well, I think it's pretty clear that Obama's the way to go.

2/3 for every 1? Wow. That DOES speak for itself.

Thanks for the link. I'd see that site a while back, but forgot the name/URL. Looking around that site certainly is turning me off more to McCain than before.
