Last week was sufficiently exhausting that we missed a great birthday party and crashed on Friday with the house being an abominable mess. We let it sit until Sunday. Fun first, then back to reality.

How many times do you hear something like that in casual conversation?  Not talking about his job.  No.  It's in his garage.  Of course.

This morning / afternoon was the Faerie Gothmother photoshoot.  Gorgeous day in excellent company.  Unfortunately, I felt no spark or inspiration to help me as a model (I would have done a much better job as "Sloth").  Then toward the end of the shoot, I busted out my camera.  I'm definitely more comfortable behind the camera than in front of it.  ( Read more... )

Battle of the Oranges, the Rollergirls and the Clockwork Ball all on the same day.  In the interest of sanity, we decided that two events in one day would be enough, so we skipped the Rollergirls.  I was still a little bummed at missing a chance to spend time with idonealuv and curtorama, but there's always next time.  And there's still that sanity ( Read more... )

I was supposed to take Thursday off.  I got up at 7, vacuumed the downstairs, did 2 loads of laundry, cleaned the kitchen floor, scrubbed 2 bathrooms, wiped down the kitchen, aired out the house, did some grocery shopping, and went into work for a few hours anyway to get some urgent things researched before the check run.  (I need to rethink this ( Read more... )
