The day gig I landed in Oct (right in the middle of walking pneumomia)
was to support a product to be end of lifed sometime in 2022.

They sped up the EOL, so this gig is ending right now.
This came a tad early.
I had splurged and paid off 2 credit cards, but had i known the gig was ending so soon,
I would have taken more time to pay them off.

I am still using one of the original IBM keyboards.
It has started doubling the "a", so I guess its finally wearing out.
I try to fix the double a's but I miss some of them.

This is usually a difficult time of year for me.

This year, I have been dreading this season in particular,
because I knew how much worse it would be for Steve (Mdlbear)

Last week, I turned 64.

The week before that was my 1yr at Amazon.
Not bad for a gig I was only expecting to do for a month and a half.

Its a tad disappointing when the only one to wish you happy birthday is the google app on my phone.

I debated taking the shift off from Amazon and going out, but decided to go in anyway.

Scratch that, Im VERY concerned about it.
I read that as an "emergency flare"
Im relieved that hes found a grieving group.
I dont know what to do or say, so Im just kind of stewing.

Nor Cal Ren Faire went by in a blur.

We had Devon Black with us this year and it was great.
Jeanie & Fred were here as well.

It was a smaller faire than usual.

I caught "holy hell" with my "Daisy Dukes" during build.
At start of build, I had actually managed to wiggle into a pair of 27 trousers, but the "Dukes" are 28s.

Day job contract ended last Friday.
I wrapped up on Friday the 13th. Gotta be something there.

Im back to the job search.
Some recruiters are OK, but some dont seem to have 2 brain cells to rub together.

I still have the 0130am shift at Amazon, which actually pays better than unemployment,
so that will cushion things just a tad.

I was out of work over a year before this one hit, and Im not in a hurry for that roller coaster of a ride

July 4, we did not hold the usual World One July 4th in El Cerrito.
The city of El Cerrito is broke.

KECG-FM does most of the organizing and staffing.
We put word out that we were going to just do a picnic.
Corey edited a special several hr long music program and we played KECG for the picnic,

Besides the every 5 yr HS class reunion, our school has an every year reunion for the performing arts dept, (Music, Theatre).
2020 we took a pass, but Im hoping it resumes, eventually.

MY HS class reunion should be this fall.
