This morning I took part in a program called Reach Out to Youth at my school. It is tailored to young students (elementary level) and its purpose is to foster an interested and desire to learn medicine. These are some of the under-served youth of Detroit. Shakespeare Behind Bars
Thursday I traveled more than 12 hours to Louisville KY and back to go to prison. The purpose was to see a rendition of Julius Caesar done by the inmates at the correctional complex. Bugs
Today my biology lab wandered around outside with nets to catch bugs. We went down through the parking lots and out onto the nature preserve to find them. We received three dinners today from different friends of the family since my mom is still recuperating. I guess that makes us set for the rest of the week. We got some Shepard's Pie that I'm really looking forward to having, mmmm. Much better selection than last time my mom had surgery where about 4 people all brought us lasagna.
