Paying it forward
I am hoarding kids clothes at the moment, since Mom called and said The Family with Five Kids Whose Mother Died After Giving Birth to the Youngest (who is 2) were having a really tight time. Friday morning was interrupted by call from daycare that power was out. Couldn't get a hold of Shawn, so I drove the 45 minutes and picked up the kiddies. Am I a Bargain-hunter or just Poor?
Last night, I noticed the Leasing Office Lady was wearing (the) Red-Soled Shoes. Ladies will know what I'm talking about. The Leasing Office Lady thought my $7 clearance brown suede with turquoise trim flats were cute. They're not $700 shoes, but I like them. -

Free Yoga Friday tomorrow! Yay! I'll be trying Svaroopa yoga. Let's hope I don't fall over or something...I'm about as elegant and coordinated as an elephant. -

Once again, driving home on Peakham Road in Sudbury, I saw deer crossing the road. One already was on the other side, the other started to cross but pulled back when it saw me. I stopped in awe, and it walked across the road. It was so cool ( Read more... ) -
Donate Blankets
I have a bunch of blankets, mostly knit afghans from relatives that I don't need anymore. Does anyone know where I can donate these to? I'd rather not get rid of them due to sentimental value, but really, how many acrylic afghans can one have? My kids actually didn't like using them because they were so "holey" and got hands and feet stuck in them ( Read more... ) -

I had a couple Freecyclers show up last night and a few more coming tonight! Yay! Getting rid of boys 4T clothes, a surplus of crayons and a diaper bag. It's been a challenge since I come home after 6, have no land line and a cell with no minutes left (haha) and live in an apartment building. Struggled to get kids ready for (pre)school. Annaliese has been a pill lately. Methinks not enough snuggling. Dropped them off (luckily, no meltdown this morning). Drove to Kane School, and OMG what a nightmare. Never again at 7:30 am. No police either so it was a free-for-all. There was no way I could turn left out of the parking lot, so turned ( Read more... )
