I find it a little odd that whenever a semester comes to a close I find myself watching movie trailers... I am so anxious I can hardly breathe and I feel restless.... a month in the mountains will be lovely although unplugging will be pretty difficult... I am done. Finished. I was hooded, walked across the stage and was publicly awarded a doctoral degree in The Philosophy of Humanities, with an Emphasis in Philosophy and Religion and a specialization in Women's Spirituality. I hardly know what to do with myself.

Alex has had a stomach flu since Wed. I am amazed at how totally unfazed I am by his bodily fluids-- trust up until this moment I have had huge bodily fluid issues-- guess it really is different when it is your own child. Well that was interesting. I spent all day prepping for a class only to find out that they decided to give it to a full-time person. What a waste of my energy. I showed up and the guy told me to "take a seat" we almost had words... instead I congratulated him and wished him the best of luck. Alex and I survived the first day of HNU orientation. He was such a trooper all day. I had to cart him from one place to another and he just hung out in his sling, smiled at people and basically ROCKED! He is totally passed out now and I am cuddled up with him!
