Plate is overflowing
Alex has had a stomach flu since Wed. I am amazed at how totally unfazed I am by his bodily fluids-- trust up until this moment I have had huge bodily fluid issues-- guess it really is different when it is your own child. It has been really difficult to try and juggle work and family-- Our culture really isn't very family friendly-- I am grateful that I work at a SLAC because they seem to be very willing to work with me to do it all. My dissertation is coming along painfully slowly but it is coming along. I am so close but I still have a few more issues to take care of and just get the darn thing off my plate. The FYE is going pretty well although I haven't been tracking it to well this first couple of weeks-- Hopefully next week won't be to crazy making. Meh... Busy, busy, busy. I was grateful to have an evening with friends last Sat. and I love my Thurs. night pizza nights with my little family at the Magic tree house. Life is sweet-- though certainly not perfect.
