I finally saw the remake of Red Dawn the other day and at first my fanish brain went all wibbly wobbly with a Thor vs Patrick Swayze brat pack comparison interdimensional crossover and then it all settled down and I could gather my thoughts.

I saw Star Trek again tonight (dragged me mum along) and its just as good, if not better than the first viewing - as I could now sit back and anticipate all my favourite moments.

Finally saw Iron Man 3 on the weekend. I naturally have thoughts but before I dive into those thoughts... I have other thoughts :D

I have fond memories of the Wizard of Oz, the songs, the colours, the characters. Its not an all time favourite movie, but still a good one. I was looking forward to Oz, mostly because of the cast and the premise. And I was very glad to see most of the promise deliver.( More below, click and think of home )

Well, for once the trailer did not lie - it was great little adventure fantasy romp, with decent actors, interesting story and Ewan McGregor. That's usually enough for me :) The special effects were great, and I liked the uncertainity the film created - you were never entirely sure if Ewan was going to make it or not.
