I just got a letter from World Vision. For a number of years now I have been sponsoring a young lady in Romania named Daniela Alina. Crazy Fun Weekend
Ah the crazy weekend is now over. It was a lot of fun, but I am looking forward to a much quieter day tomorrow. I have it off since I was initially unsure when C and lenora_rose were going to arrive.

Sense and Sensibility ... a comparison
I just watched a new BBC version of Sense and Sensibility written by Andrew Davies (of Pride and Prejudice fame). I think I may actually prefer it to the classic 1995 version with Emma Thompson and Kate Winslet. The new version is a three part miniseries which was originally broadcast in 2008.

I just finished The Beekeeper's Apprentice by Laurie R. King. It was recommended to me by lenora_rose and I enjoyed it so much that I have since gone online and ordered the next two in the series from Chapters as well as another unrelated book by the author (it was in the bargain books section).

Happily Busy Sunday
Today was a good, but somewhat busy day.
This morning I went to the "Flyby Breakfast" at the Lacombe Airport. It was neat to see all the little planes. By the end, I felt a little like a celebrity. Birthday kidnapping
L, K and D kidnapped me for my birthday. They had told me we were doing something ( so that I didn't go make plans), but I had no idea what. One of the only clues I had gotten was that it included monkeys. This turned out to be a misclue. We went to the Lilac Festival in Calgary.

A snowy good day
Mother Weather is on crack! It is not normal for me to look outside the day before my birthday and see what looks like mid-December flurries. Yes people, there is snow on the ground on May 29th!

Long time..No Blog
I realize it has been a very long time since I actually posted. So here’s what I’ve been up to. I finished the library tech program out of Red River College (I get the little piece of paper on June 3) and got a two week job cataloguing for a rural public library. Loved it!! My life is one of gross uncertainty at the moment. In less than a month I will finish my school program.
Then what?

Aliens and Funky Hair
The shower drama is concluded. The caretaker sent a plumber in to snake my drain. I got a bit of vindication. Once they realized it was a clog that was causing problems with both the shower and the drain, they've been looking at me as if it was all my fault.
