Well it isn't my fault she is in pain.  We thought her bad hip was her left one-the one she has been favoring, but according to the vet it was her right hip that she had surgery on.  It isn't her hips at all but calcifications on her back.  It won't get any better but we can slow down the progression and ease her pain somewhat.  Right now she is on

She is almost 11. She should live 12-18 years. I don't know if it is common for her breed, I do know one of Ellie's dogs has the same thing, from what I have read it's very much like arthritis in people, only on her spine. She seems to be doing better, more comfortable now, what with the pain meds and muscle relaxers she's good and numb. ;)

She doesn't realize it really isn't worth driving 45min each way if she isn't working at least 4 hours. It sure isn't if I am driving her because I either have to sit around and wait to see if they "cut" her first or go home and come back, wasting 3hrs for me. She wants her own car so bad she can taste it for the freedom of it but doesn't realize the cost and responsibility of it.
