Tom found something that sorta worked to import them from IE but not from Maxthon, so I got some of them but not all. The link you put in gave me a 404 error btw. Any advice you've got I am willing to listen to.

I am trying it out to see how I like it since I HATE IE.

Dude, Firefox is the absolute bomb. The extensions are awesome too.

It's also way more secure the IE, so good call! :)

If you want to import your bookmarks from IE, simply open a browser window, and go to File > Import > select the areas you want imported > and then the magic happens.

I haven't seen much yet as I just started playing with it yesterday. I am still trying it out. I was very happy with Maxthon and then one day it stopped doing what I wanted it to and I don't know why. All I know is I am trying it out to see how I like it since I HATE IE. What are "extensions"?

I don't have bookmarks in IE, don't use it, and there is no way to get into Maxthon, there in lies my problem.

Never used Maxthon but I've used Firefox almost exclusively for the past several years. I can't remember how many years ago I actually started it... At least since Rob and I have been together if not longer.
I only use IE if it's something that's only supported by IE. Not sure what you're having trouble with other than bookmark importing (which I honestly don't know how to do, but I could get Rob's help if you can't find it on your own)

I have never had a problem with something not being support by my browser while using Maxthon...at least I don't think I have.

It's pretty rarely that something doesn't work with Firefox. It was things like my Walmart Benefits website. And apparently SunTrust's "Open Positions" site seems to work best with IE. *shrugs* Some things prefer IE but they'll still work on other things. Overall I still think firefox is a good one.

Hi, Sweeetie....

What's your beef with Maxthon. There's a very good chance Maxthon can be made to see the error of its ways and do what your want the way you want. Just tell your woes to old man Moorloch (that's me) and I'll lend a hand.

I'm not ticked off at Maxthon, I loved my Maxthon! Unfortunately my Maxthon changed on me. :( I have no clue what happened. I think my hubby said he updated to 2.0 or whatever the latest version is but now if I right click on any link it will not give me the option to open in a new tab. I just tried it again as I am typing this in Firefox, so I could tell you what was going on, and previously it wouldn't give me the option of opening in new window or if it did it wouldn't open in new window. This is when it started http://sweeetpeaches.livejournal.com/306790.html
Now when I am right clicking and it's giving me the drop down box and I am clicking open in new window it's opening a new tab. I don't know what is going on, I just want my browser to work the way it did before my hubby updated.

Oh and BTW, who are you? and how did you find me?

since I am having a hard time keeping up with lj at the moment yet would like to keep up with you more....here's my email addy...

I've been meaning to give it to you for a while. I will delete the comment after I send it to you...

Also, I did realize we had talked before about where you lived and I knew it was Jefferson City but I didn't know where it was in location to little old me!

I finally looked on google maps and saw that Strawberry Plains is about halfway. Is there a restaurant there that we could meet at when our lives allow.

Send me an email and I will catch up with you....even if I have to be a bad girl and check at work....(snicker)
