Progress
Things seem to be progressing wonderfully well with Alexander recently. We've finally cracked his refluxy vomiting problem and now instead of worrying us to the point of tearing our hair out, by vomiting after every feed and not putting weight on, he's whittled it down to maybe 4 times a week! Finally Home
Finally, Alexander, Kelvin and I are home for the first time all together. Alexander's operation was on the 19th November. They took a piece of his small bowel and grafted it on a pedicle up behind his stomach and attached it between the gap between his Oesophagus and stomach. The operation took 8 hours in total. To Bristol Soon We Go.
Since Alexander was transferred back to Exeter hospital, things have been slightly more calmer. We've been able to lay our heads down in our own bed and get some sense of organisation about the flat before we head back to Bristol for Alexander's second operation ( Read more... ) -

Amnio-drainage.
Went into hospital for my amnio-drainage procedure yesterday. I was relieved to find out that I didn't have to go through the hassle of getting into a hospital gown and having the op done in a theatre ( Read more... ) -

Calm at last.
After a week of my New Deal placement, I must admit that the weekend is a welcome sight. It won't kill me, but after months of not working it takes some getting used to. All-in-all though I'm enjoying it and being out of the flat has done wonders for me ( Read more... ) -
A drain on the NHS
I went to my booking appointment yesterday to go through the initial health checks and medical history that will be important over the course of my pregnancy. Thankfully there were no obvious problems, my blood preassure was fine, I'd done my research well, I stopped smoking and drinking months before I fell pregnant and I'd started changing my ( Read more... ) -

The plus side of being ill, is that you get to curl up in bed with a pile of books that you've been meaning to get around to reading. The strange ways of tesco superstore.
So about two hours ago, I went for an interview for a night shift production worker at tesco - basically stacking shelves.
