So R and I moved in together this weekend. I am sure there are lots of deep, important things to say about that but mostly right now, all I  can say about it is that I'm tired, incredibly sore and I can't find any of my shoes.

So a week and a half ago, or there abouts, the assigning editor over at Tordot asked if I wanted to review Mechanique by Genevieve Valentine. Genevieve is an acquantaince/hopefully friend whom I admire a lot and this is her debut novel - I've heard her read the prequel short story and lovedlovedloved it - so I was pretty excited.

I don't know if anyone over here doesn't read my twitter also, but yesterday I signed a lease on a new flat for R and myself. It's huge and gorgeous - two bedrooms, a big living room, a diningroom/library/office room and a eat-in-ish kitchen. The weird and wonderful and supremely disorientating thing about New York is that sometimes I forgot that different inherently means people aren't the same as you.
