So a week and a half ago, or there abouts, the assigning editor over at Tordot asked if I wanted to review Mechanique by Genevieve Valentine. Genevieve is an acquantaince/hopefully friend whom I admire a lot and this is her debut novel - I've heard her read the prequel short story and lovedlovedloved it - so I was pretty excited.

Yeah! And just like with dating: why have just ONE type? I like political philosophy treatises just as much as I like a good "there are immortals in the world and they are both dangerous and imperfect" plot. (Annnd I like lanky Asian men just as well as the rugged bearded type.)
