It is a translation issue. Родина, "Motherland", can also be translated to "birthplace" in English. Родина-Мать, "Mother Motherland", is in reference to my household because of all the ethnic groups living with me.

I consider it exciting enough that I dragged myself up and down nine stories with shattered kneecaps and bleeding profusely. I don't want to delay the healing process. Being without the use of legs is very inconvenient.
