Onew and Key had the backseat to themselves, while Jonghyun drove. The car, Onew thought, was probably not theirs - but the two of them had never been above grand theft auto, even if The Council did disapprove of it. Key's good at getting away with such things.

The car, whatever kind it was Onew didn't know because he didn't like cars (he never could get used to driving one), was impressively quiet. That is, there wasn't the same white noise that came in a regular car, even as the car sped dangerously down the road. Onew noticed how quiet the car was, because it bothered him. He'd have liked to have focused on the sound of the car, instead of Jonghyun's cheerful humming.

Eventually, he decided to maturely counter it, by humming a completely different song.

Jonghyun's humming faded off, and Key gave Onew an annoyed look.

Onew just smiled and waved at Key, continuing to hum.

"Excited, are you?" Key asked.

"That depends." Onew stopped humming, "What's the plan?"

"You go where we tell you to go." Jonghyun answered, "And don't ask questions."

"If you don't want me to ask questions, you shouldn't give me answers." Onew retorted, looking out the window as they passed familiar buildings, and he knew they were close. And he still didn't have an exact plan...

"You know what?" Jonghyun said, "Don't say anything. Just shut up."

Onew continued his humming, but Jonghyun didn't protest, much to his disappointment. He was busy deciding where to park, as far as Onew could tell. He continued to hum, but mentally readied himself to attack. He might not have a plan yet, but he knew he couldn't allow Key and Jonghyun to drag him in there. There'd be no escape then.

As the car stopped by the sidewalk, he just began to move, when Key beat him too it. He slid his way on top of Onew's lap, fisting the younger vampire's hair. "Onew.. baby~", he said, "If you act up now, you'll ruin your chance to see Minho one last time. And I promise you, we are your last chance."

Jonghyun was out of the car now, and Onew glanced at him through the window.

"So, you'll be a good boy?" Key asked.

In a flash, just as Jonghyun opened the door, Onew punched Key in the nose and threw him to the side. As Jonghyun was, most uselessly, calling the name of his lover - Onew pushed past him and ran from the car.

Key, clutching a bleeding nose, yelled "Fuck him!"

Jonghyun paused, looking in the car at Key. "He's getting away."

"We'll have Minho soon, and he'll come right back to us." Key climbed out of the car.

"Key.. your nose."

"It'll fucking heal! Let's go, before the stupid auction starts."

It had become noisy, somewhere below him. He heard the muffled sounds of music and an amplified voice. He felt around the closet, attempting to safely lower himself into a kneeling position, but he still knocked his knee into the door and hit his knuckle painfully against the wall. Crouched down, he found that he still couldn't make out the words of the loud voice below.

However, shortly after he'd adjusted to his new position, he could hear people speaking outside of the closet door.

"Who's in here?"

"Choi Minho. He's supposed to get auctioned off last."

"That's right, the one that's bonded to Onew."

"Who's Onew?" a third, smaller voice asked. It was a voice he recognized. The voice of the servant, or slave, from before. "Everyone's talking about him like he's a big deal."

Minho held his breath, listening carefully for the answer, which came after a sigh. "A wanted vampire. Don't tell anyone I said so, but he really doesn't deserve all the trouble he's in. He's young, so of course he's made mistakes."

The second strange voice added on, "Basically he's only still in trouble because he made too many enemies with the higher ups. I mean really, what vampire hasn't broke the law a couple of times?"

"His bonded doesn't deserve to be in trouble then either, right?" the third voice asked.

"Who says he's in trouble? That all depends on who gets him. You should know, Kwang."

"Yeah, yeah. Just clarifying or like, something."

"Come on downstairs."

"I'll be right there. Gotta pee first."

"Just hurry up, Kwang."

Minho's heart was thumping like crazy, eyes wide. Was Kwang going to about to try to save him? He pulled himself carefully back onto his feet and leaned close against the door, listening for signs that Kwang was running off to the bathroom. The door twitched, and Minho's heart lifted as he stepped back from it. He thought for sure it was going to open. But it didn't.

"You're listening, right?" asked Kwang's voice from the other side of the door.

Minho blinked, and then nodded, even if it couldn't be seen. "Right." he confessed.

"Is it dark in there?" Kwang asked softly.

"I can't see anything." Minho said readily, putting a hand against the door. Just let me out, he wanted to say.

"When that door opens, it's gonna be bright. It might hurt your eyes, so keep them closed."

Minho dropped his hand from the door, thinking that kind of advice was awfully lame compared to the rescue that he began to expect.

"Keep them closed and.. don't open them." Kwang continued, "Keep them closed and think of all the junk you have. Like maybe your parents, or.. or think of Onew, right? You're bonded to him and all. Think of that stuff, and don't open your eyes. Don't open your eyes, because, it's gonna be scary, and they like it when you're scared. You have to keep your eyes closed, and think of that stuff, because when it's over and you open your eyes again, you won't have any of that stuff any more."

Minho took a step back from the door, which put him leaning against the back of the closet. "Help me." he said.

There was no answer.
