Once again, I love the way you are able to build tension due to both your fantastic pacing and turn of phrase. It was wonderful getting to see the story unfold from Brittany's perspective: watching her lament over Santana's emotional state, finally figuring out what had caused it, and then having that moment of truly understanding everything Santana had always felt and feared in a way she was previously incapable of understanding due to her outlook on the world. It's sort of heartbreaking for Brittany to get to that place but I think it's an important moment for her, too.

This particular paragraph stood out to me because it's a perfect exposition of both Brittany and Santana's characters in a mere two sentences. Well done.

She doesn’t understand why the girl back at the store looked at her the way she did, why she hated her the way she did, when all she did was tell the truth. She remembers her mom telling her when she was little that no-one would hate you for telling the truth, but then she thinks of Santana all through high school

I always wanted this story to be about both of them, so it was important to me that Brittany had this moment; I think it's easy to lose one or the other's feelings in a one-pov story. I'm glad you felt that it worked so well, sad!Brittany aside.

I love the way you wrote Brittany figuring things out. How she understands things so completely about Santana, but maybe doesn't always know the reason why she's doing something. So that moment of realization that hits her at the car, when Brittany's looking at the ring in the cup holder, that was so great. It was that Oh! moment where everything clicked and we got to experience Brittany (kind of sort of) rolling her eyes at Santana, like: oh you silly precious dear, don't you know I'm going to be with you forever and then some? But she gets it and gets it in such a Brittany way. I love that she calls Mike and Mike is like 'what?!' But it's perfect 'cause Brittany wasn't really calling Mike for any reason other than to just voice her thoughts. And, yeah, I really liked that

Okay so I thought I replied to your comment but apparently I hadn't. Duh me. Thanks you! I'm glad you liked the realisation moment, I thought it was important to see things from Brittany's pov, so I'm glad you thought it worked.

Meghan was a necessary evil unfortunately, but yeah her business is gonna fail so who cares anyway? :D

Ah! Evil! Must you torture us with cliffhangers? I loved how you went about Britt's epiphany about San's behaviour; and her thoughts on that cavegirl (whose business is sure to collapse, if the moron is turning away possible customers) and people like her.

Great chapter as always, I am so looking forward to more. (I am so happy that Glee is over, since I will be replacing their ending with this awesomeness.)
