Hello!
I'm making some boots spats for a tap recital and I need some help. The spats are for some 6 years olds who are doing a cute number and want short boots.

My issue is How do you get the spats to stay on with out falling off? i know they have an elastic that goes under them, but what about on top to hold them in place?

These spats are made out of grey cotton with black pinstripes and victoriana flower print with black cotton lining and black plastic buttons.
They're so tall they easily fit over combat boots :)

Here's some incredible spats and shoe decorations from MariaPozo Designs on Etsy. She just recently re-opened her shop, which is both a very good (ooh! shiny!) and bad (how much do I have in my account?) thing. I have a set of a corset and matching spats from her - they are amazing.
