DIY spats/gaiters

I cobbled these gaiters/spats together with the materials I had on hand, which wouldn't have been my first choice of materials but hey, you work with what you've got:

Speaking as someone who once made a set of knee-high gaiters out of canvas that was then tarred, these look very cool and much easier to wear.

Thank you. They haven't been road-tested yet, unless you call limping around my small apartment a road-test (there's only one in the photo cause my other leg is in a giant cast). So it's possible they may slink downward when worn, but if that's the case, I plan to use sock garters to hold them op.

I was actually thinking of those WWII canvas gaiters as I sewed these.
