Hi, I just recently started getting into the steampunk culture after rediscovering how much I liked it in things like Crimson Skies and Rise of Legends. I am currently looking at putting together an outfit or two. I have some pictures of what I have come up with so far. Please tell me what you think.

So far, way spiff. I wouldn't go for the wheat version of the vest, and I think the bag and coat are very nice, but clash a bit with the other items style-wise. But all very tasty stuff. I particularly like the tie. Sources would be appreciated. :)

Second that suggestion for more Western steam! I love that tie, who is the manufacturer of that, if you don't mind me asking?

I live in Michigan where open carry is legal (but obviously not flash it or pull it out), of course I would want to ask permission for a con or the like. Being a black powder weapon it is not classified in the same manner as a regular revolver that can handle cartridges, but is considered an antique weapon more like a flintlock pistol. So for events such as a Renaissance Festival where people in costume and sometimes with realistic prop weapons are not unexpected it would be at the discretion of the people in charge(which generally means it has to be tied into the holster or scabbard so it can not be removed without several minutes of effort). Also as an added point I do plan on obtaining a CCP(concealed carry permit) which would make it even less likely for police to hassle me about it.

Thank you for mentioning it though.
