WHY are so many people running for this hero thing? I can't keep track of all of em'. Besides, who in the hell votes for that anyway? Being a hero is like getting respect, you know! You gotta earn it! Though I guess having some leadership wouldn't be a bad thing, but this all seems really chaotic.  I don't feel comfortable voting for anyone right

There's a lot more to being a "town hero" then just a name, I wonder just how many candidates actually plan on leading everyone in Mayfield...

I dunno. Some of them have to be serious, right? But the rest of them think it's a popularity contest or something. There's no other reason for it to turn into all of this.

I don't see why we have to "elect" a town hero. That's not how heroes usually work, is it?

Not at all. It's gonna take a lot of convincing to get me to do it.

Thank you. This whole thing is bullshit and it's not how you become a hero.

They think it is, though. What's gonna happen when someone does get elected? It's concerning!

Then they're going to pretend to be a hero and get rightfully smashed into the ground, that's what.

Yeah... it's putting a big target on them, that's for sure.

I'd like to think that we can unite as a town, but it's not going to be as easy as an election.

If it will get people inspired about getting out of here again, it'll be worth it.

So they were losing their drive before? With all the freakin' volunteers, it doesn't look like it.

dynamic_may_lee March 3 2010, 02:27:52 UTC
Maybe the number of people volunteering is the result of the idea being proposed at all, hmm?

- Well, that could be.

Half of them sound like they're full of shit, though.

It's kinda ridiculous, but I'm hoping is what it'll do is band together to work on getting outta here. I think it's gonna take teamwork to figure this out, and if this is what gets the ball rollin', then I'm for it.

I'm starting to wish I had run.

Tch. At least then I'd know a little about one of the candidates, I guess.

I'm all for teamwork, but - seriously, one of them just mailed me a bunch of pictures of himself striking poses without a shirt. What the hell is that supposed to mean!? It's getting really stupid.

Ah, yeah, I saw that. Uck. I guess some people are lettin' it go to their heads?

That or he was already like that. I mean, he thinks he's Rome.

[He sounds a little sick, but nothing too noticeable.]

Last time they had these elections, the town rebelled.

[then he notices that it sounds like srs business, but doesn't exactly question it]

They 'rebelled?' What happened?

izlegal March 2 2010, 22:49:04 UTC
It poured during the elections, and eventually turned to acid rain. The drones got worked up and started behaving violently.

Whoa, whoa, what?! Acid rain?! I thought you meant the people in the town rebelled, not the environment itself!

That doesn't even make sense!
