I've started a new movie blog! It's called Filmadeus and its raison d'être is that I want to post short little insights on films I see, without having to conform to any tight format. I don't give scores, and sometimes the article will focus on one interesting thing I saw in the film, rather than bringing a standard review.

Why do we game?
It's an interesting question that was posed to me today. Why do I like gaming? What does it offer me that I keep returning to it above it merely being my go-to hobby, the thing that I do because I've always done it?

Batman vs Mr. Freeze
I made a short comic about Batman for a new dojinshi bundle out somewhere this year. I've used the character designs from Arkham City and Mr. Freeze's story elements from The Animated Series. I didn't draw any backgrounds - instead I used abstract figures and textures to suggest environment. The full comic is behind the break.

The meaning of art
I have a beef with art. More specifically, the term ‘art’. My entire life I never quite understood what art meant. For the longest time, I thought that was because I just didn’t ‘get’ it. Now I finally understand. It’s a hoax.

Right now I'm kneedeep in production of my graphic novel Quelle Horreur; with the terrible and awesome deadline of End Of August to produce a book of almost 100 pages. Killing? Yes. It's official: I am the only person in the whole damn country that dresses up during big movie premieres. Even with The Dark Knight, people just go as their own usual, boring selves. The upside is that when an employee of the radio station that organized the special prepremiere event takes your picture, you make the front page as a crazy fan. ( Read more... ) -
