Bits of things

Went to the heart doctor on Friday morning for my checkup. Doc says that most of my stats are looking good still, but I am slowly gaining weight. I also have some issues that are not good with regards to my arteries. So, I MUST get exercising again. MUST. Me, Ms. Couch Potato. We are making quite a few outfits for the Six Wives that we are doing, as well as having 3 teen girls as Tudor ladies in waiting. I have been using Margo's square necked chemise pattern (with modified tighter sleeves) for the queens, but am concerned about that much fabric for the teens. We tried the Simplicity pattern and it sucks. My biggest concern is that we keep having people feel like the shoulders are falling off. I have tightened, made adjustments, etc. Is this just the way it is supposed to sit? Do you have any suggestions? I know you have done Tudor for a long time, so I appreciate any help. Thanks!

Well... mine also falls off, but I've lost weight and haven't readjusted for the looser fit in the torso or sleeves of my old smock. Usually the bodice keeps the smock from falling off too far, or I will pin them into place. I don't recall how much of a remove Margo's pattern has in the back ( ... )
