I know this sounds really really horrible, but that has inspired me to make an AWESOME day of wrong gown for next year. Make a perfectly fine Elizabethan...and then cover it with bubble wrap. :-D And not the small bubble wrap either, the really big bubbles.....

The last Saturday at most Renaissance Festivals is known as the "Day of Wrong". People wear or do something out of character for them. It's become an excuse to get well...interesting with your costuming. I've seen everything from the Curtain rod backed Henrician gown to the tie dyed 1540's couple. Some people wear silly hats or mix and match eras. It can be really dumb or be really funny. My current Day of Wrong gown is my 1550's English Star Trek gown....

Wonderful fun - thanks for sharing. Do you know where it is? My first thought was "bubble wrap" too - talk about a lot of hard work and conspicuous (sp?) consumption!!
