Lady in the Spenser Family image
Sometime back, I got a free book by the courtesy of an eBay seller who sent me the wrong book. In that book, there was a lovely large image of a late Elizabethan woman (c.1600) in finely embroidered finery. Well, I finally got my desk cleared, and the scanner running. So here's the image, and feel free to enjoy it. I have a much larger file that may get uploaded on wikimedia commons at some point, once I remember my account name.
Warning, the file is about 1 meg in size, so you can really see the details. Oh, and sorry about the blue spot on the face. I need to clean the scanner plate again.
