They where flying in high over the monotonous landscape of Siberia, snow interrupted by blotches of monotonous evergreens. Two domepoli and a junction, that was the plan. A simple, direct assault more like the Falcons than was typical for their own Clan. But they needed to keep the momentum up and penetrate the Railway Patrol's lines. They could not dick around with subterfuge. Resnick liked it this way better anyway.

Then he heard the squawk from his comm. The code that said 'something is wrong'. From Adette. His heart thudded once against his ribcage before he wrestled such un-Warriorlike feelings of worry down. He marched to the dropship bridge.

"Change of plans. Backbreaker star is taking domepoli three by itself. We are moving to assist Adette's squad. Something went wrong and we are pulling her out."

There was a clamor among the warriors on the dropship To Glory_________________________________ ( ... )

Resnick looked down. There was Adette, beating the living shit out of someone with a wrench. He grinned wide and swept the beam of his lasers over the fleeing men. Kill them? No, let them flee. They'd make them look more terrifying in their condition. He let out a howl, also broadcast over his speakers. A bit melodramatic, but the occassion seemed to call for it.

"We got your squawk." He said, making the Timber Wolf squat like an outsize chicken and popping the hatch. He lept from the cockpit, a bit heedless of his vulnerability by doing so, to land in the snow.

For a moment let herself be overwhelmed by the moment and ran the few steps across the hanger, nearly leaping into his arms, squeezing him tightly.
"I'm so glad you guys got here in time. Our intell was all wrong." Well the cat was out of the bag now, Adette began to tremble in anticipation for what was about to come.
"We would have been in trouble if it wasn't for you," This wasn't time for teary reunions, already the shouts of the Railway where getting louder in the distance. The sound of engines turning on, a siren began to wail in the distance.
"My Golame is being delivered. Can you hold them off? I'll go to the pick up on foot."

Base Camp: Day One an_alpha_wolf August 24 2012, 02:22:26 UTC
When all was said and done, newly allied Wolves and Siberian guerillas were ordered to get a few hours rest before action in the morning. Lookouts and patrols were set up.

The Wolves slept close to their mechs and elemental armor in the cold hangars, often together under large blankets for warmth, elementals like hibernating bears, aerospace pilots like burrowing little snow-weasels that hogged more than their share of the covers. Some where still up, sitting around a heater with some of the locals. Elite, vat-bred Warriors chewed the fat and passed around vodka with hard bitten Russian hillbillies. Later, social tensions would undoubtedly emerge but for that moment things seemed to be going just fine.

Used to a generally docile populace, noone had been assigned to keep public order, save for announcements that the Railway stores were open and they could take any non-military items they wanted.

Around the heater, the mixed group of Wolves and Siberians noted her approach. 'Big Sis...' was murmured by several of them, the appelation that had spread around the domes. Some of the Wolves asked what a 'big sis' was and had to have it explained to them.

Resnick finished his slug of the firewater and offered it to her, silently but with a smile.

Day 2: Daytime an_alpha_wolf August 25 2012, 02:48:27 UTC
News of the rebellion had spread through the domes, stealing in through the cracks like the night wind. The Railway could not contain it in dome six, though they stopped its progress at five and four. The populace, primed by Adette's work weeks earlier, were gleefully dancing in the streets, shouting down the terrified Railway mooks, burning whatever burned pretty. Those Railway Patrollers who fired their weapons were rushed and beaten to deaths by the roving groups, like a fly that stung a mammoth.

So in the night, just ahead of the Wolf/Rebel advance, sillhouette engines and VTOLs were pressed into service. The people of dome six heard a tremendous wrenching sound and the scream of metal under duress. Then their dome was lifted, incredibly, and the harsh Arctic sun illuminated their stunned faces as it broke in the dawn. Dorbeks quickly took down the power plant, forcing the people inside for fear of the cold.

They might have been thrown from that dome, but the inhabitants would pay the price.

"What do you mean they took the savashri dome?!" Resnick nearly yelled into his comm, receiving frantic confirmation from the rebels at number six dome that that was exactly what had just happened, along with most of the food stores and a select number of loyal citizens ( ... )

Day 2: Night an_alpha_wolf August 25 2012, 02:59:56 UTC
The night that followed was much less restful as the oldest, youngest and sickest citizens of dome six were evacuated to other domes. To Glory was pressed into service, meaning the Wolves lost half their mobility. They could no longer leapfrog from dome to dome, ahead of the trains.

With their advance reluctantly halted, the Wolves helped the locals instead (some few of them having to be chewed out for refusing to use their mechs or armor in "common labor"). It looked like another night of little sleep.

From his Timber Wolf's cockpit, he looked down at the person making 'keep going' gestures below, placed the I-beam in the proper place.

"I suppose it cannot be helped...Winter is coming."

There was another hand behind steadying her, and it was Ranna's.

She nodded at the two man, then at Adette. "You can lay down and speak at the same time, quiaff?" A gesture of the head at Resnick, before Ranna turned and walked away, towards some civilians.
