WELCOME TO OUR OOC CLASS LOG!

How this will work, is that professors who wish to hold an OOC log post a thread for each year of their classes, labeled with the year and class. Dean is almost ten minutes late to the 6th year class. He is visibly, visibly hungover. Soooo not feeling this whole professor thing. He introduces himself, leaving off with the fact that he murdered a Ministry official. Any questions? Good because I'm not answering them.

Today we're learning the tools of the trade. He produces a tarp out of nowhere and rolls it out across his desk, revealing various items not normally used by wizards.

Sawed-off shotgun. Rock salt. Holy water. A .45 caliber Colt, a Smith and Wesson, among other one-handed guns. Chalk. Various shell casings. Various knives, some of them silver. An EMF reader, though it is mostly useless here, he explains. He spends the class explaining the use of each item, spending much of the time lovingly explaining the guns.

Dean is INTRIGUED. He has honestly never thought about using a katana on something before.

From what he understands though, they're rather unwieldy and might not be quick enough to do the job. Sulu is free to correct him, Dean could talk about weapons all FREAKING DAY.

As always, Castiel arrives with a large stack of books and notes. He sets them down in specific piles: Homework, years 3-5, and years 6-7. His robe is loose around him. He got the wrong size long ago and didn't bother getting the correct one. He's looking a little tired, with a bit of stubble along his jaw. After all, he's been up late studying.

He presents them with another chart of numbers. This time numbers 300-500. He asks them to turn in their worksheets on A-L. He reminds them that there will be a quiz at the end of lecture. Anyone caught cheating will have to do a VERY long project in Runic.

He asks for a show of hands if everyone received his message about their homework assignments. He encourages questions on the project. He asks them to turn to page 100 in Stories and Poems in Ancient Runic. They will be reading The Boy Who Wanted To Ride A Unicorn. It's an ancient story about magic and unicorns. And a boy who wanted to be a unicorn rider. Fascinating stuff, he promises.

While there is no set homework for the older students, he does want them to present their numbers to him by the following class period. To ensure they will have enough material to write about.

Sulu has no idea why he is even in this class. He'll just be sitting by the window, doodling aimlessly and looking confused. What is his life.

More outside fun! This time, though, you guys are going to play a magical game of hide and seek. Pair up, and one of you will hide somewhere and attempt to keep your magical energy concealed, while the other will try to find you using only mental magic techniques.

Sulu hides behind some bushes and then puts his head down and concentrates. Yeah, he really, really sucks at this. His concentration breaks way too easily for him to keep concealed for long.

Namine remembers a bubble-head spell and also knows a few plants that could help...although she mentions gillyweed might be hard to come by.

Yellow launches into an excited story about a surfing Pikachu before realizing that no, that's not really going to help him right now and the professor is probably not amused.

Frantically tries to remember any other useful information. Fails. Uh. Make friends with a sea creature?
