17 august marks the one year anniversary that i began the adventure, and i can honestly say it feels just like yesterday. this is what occupies my mind. yet, part of me worries only i crave an identical experience over the just prospect of returning. my smarter half is not fooled.

burritos at 11am to kill the caffeine buzz
found a burrito place in soho that's legit because the owner is from san diego. it's no san diego mexican food, but it works--for the last three weeks i'm here.

eye patch on the little lj man
i'm sitting in the computer lab writing half-ass answers to shitty questions on antony and cleopatra and thinking about how delicious chipotle sounds right now. mom is sending me american peanut butter because eating british peanut butter straight out of the jar just isn't as satisfying. i need to stop eating so much.

i love the lebanese and thai food best.
i have reached london safe and sound. we arrived friday morning and spent the last few days being tourists-- we saw westminster abbey (the outside), the tower of london, millennium bridge, portobello road, uncle mick's old house in notting hill, etcetera. discussed the old days growing up in ireland one night, turned down an ultra creepy cousin's ( Read more... ) -

i'm behind, nothing is new
the official countdown has begun, just 15 short days until i'm done with another year of school. mo has been tearing down the posters outside of our rooms and clearing out all of our living room decorations, signifying the end of our stay in social ecology 1052. it really is bittersweet because i've grown close to some of my housemates, but i ( Read more... ) -
iit's finally here
i'm off to ireland, where the guinness flows freely, where you can walk into any pub in town and the bartender is some sort of relative you've never met (true story) and where i will probably get enough second hand smoke to last me a lifetime. have a nice thanksgiving, everyone. be back the 28th. -
