Extreme Makeover Home Addition is doing a house here in Tulsa and not far from where Jessica works; she went out to grab some lunch and drove by the site (I think the reveal is today). She just called me all excited because she saw Ty Pennington from the street - she said he’s really short. It amused me.

The copy I have sounds like a horribly scratched record or like you are listening to a radio station that's 150 miles away (very static-y). I can't find a version to buy on itunes or I would buy it there. Please help!!!

I am proud to report that even though I am incredibly sore, I still did a bit of exercising last night. My typical M.O. is to exercise too much one day and then be so sore that I don’t do anything for several days, then just forget that I was going to exercise at all and before you know it three months have passed. Well, we managed to make it through the ice/snow storm relatively unscathed; at least, no loss of power, which was the biggest fear. There was a glimmer of fear on Friday when the lights kept flickering, but thank Jebus they didn’t go off and we stayed nice and toasty warm and never lost the tv and satellite. Apparently, we are getting ready to get hit with a major winter storm; a storm so horrible that they were specifically mentioning Tulsa on CNN this morning. I have a bad feeling about this; they didn’t get this worked up for our last ice storm, the one that left us without power for four days and others without power for several weeks.

So I told you Tommie’s uncle died Sunday. The services are Thursday in Springfield, which is about 200 miles from Tulsa. We’re supposed to get hit pretty hard on Wednesday night/Thursday with rain/ice/snow, so I don’t know if we’re going to make it or ( Read more... ) -

Tommie’s uncle died last night; this was his mom’s brother. This poor woman has lost, in the span of 8 months, her husband and her brother, whom she was very close to. Fortunately, it wasn’t suddenly like her husband, her brother has had heart issues for a while and has spent the last several months in the hospital, so she at least got a chance ( Read more... ) -
