This day two of my catchup sorry to break it to you, a few more posts yet to come on getting caught up... this ride was on April 27th. This was my first ride above 9k. Went surprisingly well. One of those situations where when going downhill, we were into the wind and the reverse on the way up. Really balanced out the ride.

I'm making a return to the world of cycling. We're in Colorado right now and I decided that before I try riding through mountains at 9k+ feet, I should start a little lower. In this case, we'll take Colorado Springs at around 6k+.

Ok... Making progress around the house... some re-pioritizations though.

• Scrape crap out of shower crevices
• Seal cracks with caulk
• Play some Call to Duty 3
• Secure the electrical lines in the Parmley
• Go to Walgreens to get Liquid gels

This afternoon, while out getting lunch and supplies for the shower, I stepped out of Westcliff Hardware to stare at a pink sky. Not a clouded sky or the blue of this morning... but pink.

The wind is gusting heavily and we're in the middle of the worst dust storm I've seen in Texas. Driving around in the Parmley was a litle "fun". debris!!!! ( Read more... )
