This was a more abstract athame, as Rose felt a greater kinship to the universal sea of spirit than any particular God or Goddess. After some discussion, the effect of the sun and moon on the sea, the junction of land and sea and air, and whales were the themes and symbols that best reflected this kinship.

This athame was designed to give the effect of holding the moon in one's hand. The blades were takes from two karambits, selected because of their fairly crescent shape.
