Yeah I was too lazy to do the Potato translation XD

But in replace for it here you are an old (Myojo - 2007-07) Shige's essay.

LAUGHS

Lately I tried to read again my last essay, I noticed how it was somehow so serious, the content was just heavy. For this, this time I want to write about something rough. By the way, what it is a "rough" content!? Kato Shigeaki is completely lost. Since the more I think about it the more I don't understand, I think that I shold just write something funny. So I'll write about "Laughs".

The moments when I laugh. They are many of them.
When I get excited over stupid questions with my friends. When I laugh remembering some gag of my trivial friends. When I smile in the street looking at the beautiful cherry tree in Spring. When I laugh loud over a variety show. When I shyly smile looking at the students' couples walking and blushing. I laughed thinking to how many times I do it during a day (Of course there are also days when I don't do it at all).
Inside all this what made me laugh the most recently were Koyama's words during the tour that we did from February to April. That time at the end of the concert, everyone of the members, facing the fans, told something about his feelings for NEWS' rebirth. It was a moving scene with all our grateful, serious words.

Tegoshi: "We had some hard time but now we're here thanks to all of you. From now on please go on supporting us!"

Masuda: "As "Hoshi wo mezashite" everybody is going to work hard for our dreams from now on. For today thank you very much!"

We all talked like this one by one, the last was Koyama.

Koyama: "We caused all of you a bother. We won't do it anymore!"

We all thought: "He said a right thing~". But....

Koyama: "I don't wanna say Bye bye to you. Thank you! ...Bye bye!!"

You're saying it!! You said it so soon!! Hearing this behind the stage all the other members bursted into laughter. It wasn't Koyama-like at all...But our feelings were expressed in full.

In this state, everyday, I see something and I laugh, I remember something and I laugh...Laughing is funny.
No, we laugh because something is funny.

But I also like make other people laugh. When something interesting happens I suddenly want to tell it to somebody, even this time with Koyama's story. When I see a laughing face I feel like smiling too. On the opposite when I see somebody sad I feel sad too. Because not only the smiling faces, also the sad ones are contagious.
I'll try to become a stupid adult in order to make you all laugh to my stupid stories.

A "rough" talking was turned in a "laugh" talking. Sorry for being so senseless (lol).
