Things had been so hectic in the city lately that Spirit had forgotten that it was time for the BREW to act up again. He had only had the time to contact several of the guests to request some help in welcoming the guests to Death City, with Shibusen being so short-handed, before the technicians in the academy were contacting him to get his ass there. Between this morning’s run-in with Leo’s violent frenzy in the city, and Mifune’s subsequent news, Spirit thought that maybe he should have brought three mugs of coffee with him for this one instead of two.
“Hello!” the redhead greeted the guests as the first ones filtered out of the chamber. It wasn’t easy to be cheerful with so many things happening and an aching rib, but Spirit was the master of the melting happy smile. “Welcome to Death City. The first thing we’ll do is hand you your communicators. It’s a device that will allow you to connect with all the other guests here like you. It has other functions that you can read about later on in the manual

[And here's a kid, kind of standing around helplessly. He... doesn't really know what to do, twisting and turning the communicator in his hand before looking up at the rest of the people in the chamber and biting his lip.
The question going through his mind right now is how? How can they see him? How can he be here? He wasn't even--
... Well, that was a story for another day, but for now he had to figure out what to do. And quick.]
[Just have some staring in awe for a bit, Kilik. He's never met anyone like you before! In fact, he's never met anyone before. So just kind of a deer caught in headlights stare actually.
And then he speaks, quietly.]
How...?
[More fidgeting and he nods to the crowd of people, hoping that Kilik will understand him.
AROUND SHIBUSENcallmecronaApril 23 2011, 07:19:40 UTC
The battle that had taken place... Crona couldn’t help but feel doubly guilty about it, even if Maka had said that the fault wasn’t with him/her at all. Even then, there was no denying the fact of what had happened - Adachi was taken, Kid was now rooted to Shibusen and perhaps even without knowing, all of this was playing right into Medusa’s hands. More than anybody else, Crona knew well the amount of trickery his/her mother would pull in order to accomplish her goals - and only who knew what her goal was to be. But whatever it was, it wasn’t going to be a good one at all; Crona knew that for sure at least.
Oy, Crona! Stop daydreaming! The guests are here already! came the voice from the top of the kid’s head, and Crona looked up to the squiggly eyes of Ragnarok, Crona’s Weapon. Ragnarok would be a strange sight to behold for the guests when they came out from the chamber - a black, vaguely human-like thing perched upon the head of an ambiguously dressed pink-haired teenager. Crona gulped as s/he turned to stare at the wave of

[Bah, all these guests. Being tired of their prattle is one of the only reasons why Ragnarok decides to ease up once one of the guests starts to tell him to stop, giving Crona one final noogie before crossing his arms and huffing on the kid's head.]
[Crona on the other hand quickly recovers from the nooging once it stops, rubbing his/her eyes to get rid of the tears before looking up at the guest. He didn't seem too bad...]
OUTSIDE SHIBUSENthisismyeraApril 23 2011, 07:21:08 UTC
Having finally lead beyond the bizarre confines of Shibusen Academy’s grounds, the next part of the tour rewards the patience - or lack thereof, but it truly makes no difference - of those obediently following with their first sight of the new world that they’ll be living in. Meeting the eyes is the only very mildly impressive view of a broad, open terrace, just beyond the main entrance. Surrounding the premises to the curious beholder, though, stretches the significantly more impressive expanse of Death City, and beyond even that, all the way to the horizon, rolls the seemingly-endless desert of Nevada, United States. Despite being a desert, it seems that the weather has taken a turn for the cold here, because the air can actually be described as chilly. It’s bright in Nevada, however, and a quick look up will show you a freakish-looking sun that grinning either welcomingly or malevolently, but nonetheless in greeting at the newcomers below.
None of those things, though, even begin to measure up to the grandeur and seemingly-divine

[Pharos is pretty sure that he will be in perpetual awe of this city. While Minato's bedrooom was great -- very great really -- he never got out much. Or ever.
It's hard growing up and living in someone's mental psyche.
Nevertheless, here he is, staring over the balcony at the city. On his tip toes to reach up and take in the full view, he gasps slightly at the sight.
Magnificent is the word that comes to mind, he thinks.]
[ Jade is usually in awe of the city, too. But today she's on the lookout for people that she can help, since she is supposed to be greeting all the new people. Spotting a boy who seems to be close to falling over the side, she walks up to him. ]
At the base of the stairs waits a rather peculiar sight: parked right in front of it is what appears to be a small dune buggy. What sets it apart as remarkable is the fact that a vast collection of speakers and subwoofers hang off of it, to the extent that it remains in question whether or not the vehicle can even move under the combined weight of them. Behind it is coupled, of all things, three large black coffins on wheels, linked together in some kind of morbid road train. Standing next to it is a vacant-eyed youth wearing the garb of a priest, presumably “Justin”, who Black★Star was referring to earlier. Three other people -- a young girl, an older lady, and a man with long hair -- were standing nearby.
Wordlessly, he turns and jumps into the seat of the buggy and fires it up, sending gouts of smoke spilling from the gigantic exhausts. The engine is loud, but not nearly as much as the sound that assaults the ears of everybody present within a kilometer radius as the speakers roar to life with offensively loud and brain-breaking

The music was pounding her ears, yet somehow Miku couldn't actually hear it. She clung to her seat, her eyes wide as she remembered who she saw before hurrying onto the train. She absently took in the map information as it flashed by, but her mind was running faster than her gaze. Her lips moved, tried to form words to confirm it in her head.
Ultimately she could only utter one word, barely a whimper compared to the noise.
"Rei...?"
Before she knew it, the ride was over. She got off shakily, her heart swelling with emotion.
CASUALTY COMMUNALhesgotsoulApril 23 2011, 07:23:48 UTC
To say that Soul was in no mood to babysit ANOTHER set of new people was a vast understatement. He hadn’t enjoyed the last time at all (keywords: Haru, molestation, trauma beyond measure), and recent events left him listless and irritable. Still: a job was a job, and he wasn’t about to get on any of the professors’ bad sides

As Fuuka looked around the city, it seemed as though everything was the same. She wasn't even aware how long she had been gone for and she wasn't even sure if this was still a dream.
How did she managed to get out was something that was bugging her since she wanted everyone to leave with her. Either way, she was stuck here again. Should she ask exactly how long was she gone for?
If SEES was going to be a help this time around, Souji needed to lay the ground work for the different people already. And right now, it seemed the best way to start that was by seeing someone already familiar.
"Fuuka Yamagishi?" Souji asked, coming up to her in surprise. Did she remember him at all?

Yo. I know it's a lot to take in. But if you got any questions, we're here to answer 'em.

Please listen to your...charge. Crona's done a fine job here.
[And then to Crona:]
Are you all right?

E-eep!
[Stumbling backwards a bit at the sudden voice, he stares blankly at her before nodding.]
I've never seen anything like it.

But this was a guest speaking her name, and that's ultimately what made Rei turn, and not just any guest but--
"Miku!"
She takes an unsure step forward, half unwilling to believe that this was really--it couldn't be, right?
But then, there had been other similar cases and--
Rei moves forward, running to the girl, not quite throwing her arms around her in a fear that Miku would disappear if she did.
"Is it really...? I can't believe it...!"

"I think so..." she said quietly. "Unless I'm... still dreaming. This isn't a dream, is it?"
If it was, Mafuyu would be here, wouldn't he? An echo of pain resounded in her body.
