[Spirit is most certainly not asleep. In fact, he is sitting against a pillow and typing busily on his communicator. He looks up when someone approaches, expecting it to be someone for food, maybe, when he sees Canada.

[my, this room looks familiar. luckily Jeanne's injuries are markedly less severe - just needing stitches and rest. she's sitting up, working away at a book and looking completely serene. on closer inspection, however, the tight way she grips the book and the way she's chewing on her lip betray how badly she just wants to punch herself in the face. stupid stupid careless again
hopefully the next person to walk in will tell her she can go. Jeanne doesn't know much about medicine, but she knows enough to gauge that her stay shouldn't be long here]
[Nope, not releasing you yet, young lady!]daddyscytheApril 5 2011, 13:45:03 UTC
[Aaaaand this here is Spirit walking right into her room. He'd listened outside the door for like, two seconds, and hadn't heard anyone, so he thought that it would be relatively free or something. He just needs a quieter place than his room to talk to people on the phone.
Oh, but there's someone here... Spirit makes an apologetic gesture at her before sitting heavily on a chair, arguing with someone in very rapid American.]
[oh come ooooon i'm all stitched up and everything!]maidoforleansApril 5 2011, 20:16:02 UTC
[Jeanne looks up quickly at the sound of someone walking in, then smiles and ducks her head. he must have thought she wasn't here, it was an understandable mistake.
her reading skills aren't quite good enough that she can continue with the new noise, so she marks her place and sets it on the nightstand instead, trying to make sense of what he was saying. how could people talk that quickly?]
[It's just random things like orders and negotiating people and talking about the defences of the city. Might be familiar to her if she was in an army... But eventually, the conversation ends and Spirit sighs loudly.]
I'm sorry about that! I must have disturbed your reading... Hahaha...
[And John staggers through the entrance of the clinic, with an injured girl on his back. She seems to be burned and bleeding in the arm, which is covered by an sloppy amateur bandaging job. John himself doesn't look too burdened by the weight itself, and more from the fact that he had to walk for quite a distance with the weight to get to the clinic. Luckily, John himself isn't injured, only covered with grime and dried blood.]
[These two had good timing. Winry had only just arrived at the clinic with Lady and Haru. She herself looked rather roughed up but she was already in work-mode.]
[When she sees who it is, her chest constricts a little but she does not let that stop her. Somewhere in the back of her head she is impressed to see John carrying her, and without much difficulty either. Nevertheless she rushes forward and moves to help take a bit of the weight off him]
Oh- [a beat of guilty silence] -whoops, sorry sleeping people.
[And when Winry comes forward to help, John blinks when he realizes that he recognizes this girl. Wasn't she-- from last time--?
But he nods and mutters his thanks, taking her lead to get Rikku to a bed. When they get there, he turns around and gently sits Rikku onto it. Then he steps back, and he can't help a big breath of relief to have the weight off of his shoulders. Literally.]
[November 2nd] [Anytime] [Open]pickinurpocketsApril 3 2011, 19:40:33 UTC
Rikku had spent much of the first asleep, letting the doctors do whatever it was doctors did here and basically getting better. Now that the easy part was over, all that Rikku had left to do was wait until she was given permission to go back to her apartment.
After it had been confirmed that her concussion wasn't serious and that she could go home, Yuna had gone to visit Rikku. She's heard that she was here, and she wanted to visit her cousin before Vergil took her home.
She sat down beside her bed, her arm wrapped up and in a sling being the only really obvious injury she carried. In reality, her head still hurt quite a bit, but she was hiding it rather well.
If Rikku wasn't supposed to be resting, she'd've bounced up and started fretting over Yuna. As it was, she just sat up more and grabbed the unbroken arm. "Are you okay?"
Yuna have Rikku a halfhearted smile. The reminders of what had happened still plagued her mind, though she did her best to hide the memories as she had learned to do. It wouldn't do to dwell on what couldn't be changed; they simply needed to move forward and do better.
"I'm fine," she said, her expression soft. "They said it'll be good as new in about a week. Vergil's actually about to take me home, but I couldn't leave without checking on you."
[November 1st][6pm-ish][Closed][Yuna and Vergil]sendthefallenApril 4 2011, 00:20:01 UTC
It had been a very long night. Shortly after Spirit's post on the network filling in the details of what had happened, Yuna had gotten a message from Vergil asking where she was. Telling him the truth had been hard - it was her own weaknesses that had gotten her hurt, and she was embarrassed that she was injured in the first place. In a way, it felt as if she'd let him down, though she had been too tired to really worry about it
( ... )
As it were, Vergil had been on edge ever since parting with Yuna shortly after midnight. His nerves had eased somewhat after the Madness Wavelength receded but once the sun had risen he'd grown concerned again about her safety. He'd assisted with clean-up and the removal of the night's casualties, foregoing sleep, but it wasn't until the afternoon that he had checked at the home and then contacted the girl
( ... )
It took Yuna a moment to actually gather up her senses and remember that she wasn't at home. The room was darker than she had expected, and so while opening her eyes hadn't been difficult due to a lack of bright light in the room, having her vision adjust to the darkness took a moment.
"Oh," she said quietly, mostly to herself, as she realized where she was. The clinic was crowded, but with much of the residents resting or sleeping entirely, it was still relatively quiet. Blinking away some of her fatigue, Yuna glanced over at her visitor, taking in his form with a tired and somewhat pained gaze. "Morning?"
Oh right, he'd been here when she'd fallen asleep. Was it really morning? She barely remembered that part where she'd fallen unconscious, and she was secretly surprised to see him still here. Had he even slept yet?
"Why are you still here?" she asked as she tried to push herself into a seated position with one hand. The other was currently useless, held in a sling against her abdomen.
He found himself having to check, as it were. Vergil's gaze raised to a clock high on the wall on the other side of the room before he shook his head faintly. "It's just after six p.m.," he corrected. What an inconvenient time to wake up. Then again, given Yuna was injured, she'd probably have no trouble sleeping again when she felt like it.
"Not like there's anything else to do, and I don't feel like sleeping," he said as nonchalantly as possible. Right. Frankly sleep would be fantastic. He just found he couldn't. Or wouldn't. It was hard to tell, since it seemed like mind and emotions had taken to rebelling against him since the day before. All he knew is he couldn't remember hearing a break in her steady breathing in the past few hours.
"Unless that's a problem." It was becoming rapidly reminiscent of another scenario from a month before, only this time Yuna was the injured one, even if Vergil was still exhausted. This time around he'd walked away barely harmed at all, fortunately.
