[And this is a very exhausted looking Matt barreling into the room. He takes a moment to collect himself before heading over to Spirits bed.

The look he gives him is something between worry and almost scolding.]

[Spirit is most certainly not asleep. In fact, he is sitting against a pillow and typing busily on his communicator. He looks up when someone approaches, expecting it to be someone for food, maybe, when he sees Canada.

Cue staring.

And blinking.]

Mattie! [shriek!! FLAIL! ow ow ow.] Mattie!

What did you do!? How is it I get shunted away by BREW and everyone goes and gets hospitalized!?

Mattie! [pounce and HUGE HAIR RUFFLE] I didn't think you'd be able to come back, hahaha!

[KLSAJDLASJFLASJFAL THROWN OFF BY THESE HAIR RUFFLES WHAT IS THIS EVEN.]

H-Hey! Stop that, I'm trying to be serious!

[S-Sigh. Oh Spirit. He really did miss him. He lets him do his thing before attempting normal conversation/nagging again.]

Everything is pretty serious. [last hair ruffle before easing himself down to the bed again, wincing.] They invaded the city and took Adachi, but at least Adachi's still weak now. He wouldn't be able to do anything for a while, just like Asura, but we have to find them both before they recover.

[maplezen]

[Somberness falling back into his tone, Matt sighs.]

How did they even get in?

[Bites his lower liiiip.]

We were distracted. The guests had witch familiars implanted in them and went berserk.

[That causes his eyebrows to go up.]

Witch familiars? So it wasn't just ...I don't know, textbook madness?

[That sounded really gross and horrible.]

Well. Yeah! They even had snake tails and everything.

[Gross, right? Eurgh, Medusa.]

So does this mean we're without a barrier, now?

No... Death the Kid is fueling the current one, but it's not strong enough yet to keep witches out. At least for now, we're not going crazy.

[Oh right, what with the Madness Waves being spewed all over, that WAS always a concern. He nods.]

So, I guess my next request is that you get me up to speed with the last few months.

Just a couple since you disappeared, I think... Not even. [Spirit is trying to remember.]
