Chapter 8
An unexpected turn
Slowly, JaeJoong turned his head toward YooChun and smiled at him. “You sad little human, you have stolen something what is mine, and I’m going to kill you because of that” whispered JaeJoong, a evil smile was now visible on his lips and he stopped closer toward YooChun, still with YunHo’s hand in his. He lifted his other hand and it transformed in his true hand, a black claw with long, sharp nails, dripping with poison. “Are you ready to die, you sad stupid human?” JaeJoong stepped closer toward YooChun, ignoring the fact that EVERY human who was still alive had grabbed their weapons and were now standing besides YooChun, ready to fight and to die besides their leader but… somebody stopped him. “JaeJoong, please stop!”
The first thing he did when realized what JaeJoong wanted to do was grabbing the demon master by his arm in a attempt to stop him, and while he did that he even wasn’t sure if JaeJoong would listen to him or if he would be strong enough to get JaeJoong’s attention, he was just a human and not able to stop JaeJoong if he had chosen to ignore him and to just attack all the humans who were inside this bar and to do what where he was good at, kill and murder without mercy! He also wasn’t even sure IF the demon master wanted to listen to him, he still didn’t knew what JaeJoong exactly wanted from him and if he was important enough for JaeJoong to let him stop, even for a few seconds. But… JaeJoong stopped and turned toward him, frowning. “They have taken you away from me, they all are deserving it to die” spoke JaeJoong slowly and again, he saw that there was something wrong with JaeJoong, he looked almost weaker and… it almost seemed as if JaeJoong was concerned about him and THAT was strange! Was that even possible? That a demon was worried about somebody? He shook his head and even now that he still was really confused and that he had mixed feelings about almost everything, he knew one thing for sure, and that was that he didn’t wanted that YooChun and the others were dying because of him. “They have been good for me… Leave them here please, you know that it’s dangerous here and that there are a lot demons here who are hunting them and you know that a lot of them are going to die here in this world, slowly and painfully… Being here is also a torture for them, living in this word is almost worse than dying for us humans.”
JaeJoong stood now with his back toward YooChun and the others, so he didn’t saw the surprised looks while they were staring at him, but nobody said something, they knew that JaeJoong was listening to YunHo and that he was trying to help them, so only a madman would dare it to say something while JaeJoong was really listening to YunHo’s arguments. But even now that YunHo was trying to help them, YooChun looked with a dark expression toward him, as if he was really, REALLY mad at YunHo. But then… JaeJoong shook his head, “I know what you are trying to do YunHo, you are trying to safe-“ and he pointed at YooChun, “- them” finished JaeJoong and looked more dangerous than ever before. “JaeJoong, please! I do what you want but let them go!” Begged YunHo while he tried to NOT look really scared for the safety from the others. “No” spoke JaeJoong suddenly with a really mean voice, “they have taken you away from me and they are going to die because of that! And besides…-” JaeJoong smiled almost at YunHo. “I’m taking you with me, with or without your permission now that I have found you.” JaeJoong pushed YunHo slightly away from him and stepped closer toward YooChun but… He stopped! He growled and shivered, he swayed on his legs as if he had lost his balance and he… almost fell! YunHo saw that YooChun grabbed his weapons and that all the others were following his example, ready to attack JaeJoong now that he was weak and… he needed to do something! He didn’t knew HOW he did it, but he ran, faster than he had done ever before, too fast for a human eye to see, and he… pushed the guns out of the hands from everybody who was trying to attack JaeJoong! Next he ran toward JaeJoong and… He pushed him into the shadow, knowing that the demon master would be safe there, and how he knew that he didn’t knew, but he just knew it!
And at that moment, standing in the shadows, JaeJoong seemed to recover and he was able to move again, he grabbed YunHo, pulled him against his own body and they… disappeared! Everything around them became black, colder than it had been in the barn and the sounds were strange, as if he was hearing everything from a distance… He still was able to hear YooChun and the others, they were shouting at each other and he heard a lot people curse but he knew that he they were still in that same barn, but… hidden and strangely at the same time far away from them. Was that even possible? Still being in the same barn but at the same time far away from the others? “What had just happened?” He stared at JaeJoong with his eyes wide and the fear he felt was clear to hear in his voice! He was able to see the demon master because he… seemed to radiate a strange gray light, too soft to make the darkness in the shadow comfortable but enough for him to see where JaeJoong was and what he was doing.“What happened to you and… How was it possible that I could move so fast?” He didn’t asked JaeJoong why he was radiating gray light, he had seen enough demonic things to know that JaeJoong was doing this to make himself visible in the darkness, just for him to see him. YunHo wasn’t sure if it was smart to ask all those questions, especially because he still didn’t understood WHAT JaeJoong wanted from him but, strangely, he wasn’t afraid anymore for JaeJoong, not even now that he was a demon master and a murderer… He was just… worried for JaeJoong because he KNEW that there was something wrong with him and he was worried about himself because he knew that he never before had been able to move that fast as he had done a few minutes before! It was just NOT human and that was really not a good thing, right?
He felt really lost and disorientated now that everything was black around them so he did the only thing he could thing of and that was to hug JaeJoong tighter, knowing that it was a strange and totally NOT human reaction, but he felt better when he was closer besides JaeJoong and to feel that he wasn’t alone here, it was comforting him to feel the touch from somebody else, even if that other person was JaeJoong, a demon master... “You are changing because of the ring you are wearing, it’s making you more like me, you will become darker.” JaeJoong paused for a moment and seemed to… shiver? Was he shivering? A demon who shivered? “I told you that you would understand me and look now at yourself YunHo, you have protected me against you own kind, you aren’t thinking like a normal human, not all the time anyway…” JaeJoong sounded strange while he spoke, tired and… irritated? But JaeJoong’s strange emotions weren’t his problem at the moment, he… WHAT HAD JAEJOONG JUST SAID TO HIM? He widened his eyes and felt… betrayed, he didn’t wanted to be like JaeJoong, a demon! Would he change and become evil and would he also lose his human body and get poisoned claws like JaeJoong had? Would he become a murderer? Was he going to lose his humanity?! He didn’t wanted that! He wanted to step away from JaeJoong, he needed some time to think but JaeJoong didn’t wanted to let him go, he tightened his grip on his body and he hissed irritated toward YunHo.
“Stay close besides me if you want to survive, you are almost in my shadow realm and I’m NOT strong enough to take care of you here, there are forces here even I can’t control all the time, do you understand me?!” Oh, YunHo stared unsure at JaeJoong, trying to process what he just had heard… Not strong enough? So, he had been right? There was really something wrong with JaeJoong! “Why aren’t you strong enough? Are you sick?” Whispered YunHo, he still felt betrayed by JaeJoong, but it was just impossible for him to stay mad at the demon master for long. “Demons aren’t able to get sick” muttered JaeJoong and he fell silent for a few minutes, he shivered again… “Yes, I’m weakening YunHo… There were some things about the ring I didn’t knew, but you aren’t the only one who is changing… You are feeling my demonic energy and that’s the reason why you are changing but… at the same time I’m feeling you human emotions and you human emotions are the reason why I’m so weak, demons aren’t made to feel emotions, we are born to be strong, powerful and to rule over this word! Human emotions are only weakening and distracting, we don’t need them and I don’t want to become like a sad simple human!” JaeJoong almost sounded angry while he spoke those last few words but at the same time he didn’t seemed to have enough energy to be really angry so he fell silent again. Closing his eyes, YunHo tried to decide what he could do for JaeJoong and at the same time he felt worried about himself, would he become sick from JaeJoong’s demonic energy? “I don’t want to become a demon and to… have a demon body like you have” whispered YunHo sad and wished that he could stop the ring and that he would become his old self again.
“You aren’t turning into a demon and you body will not change, you will stay like you are now, weak and humanlike. It’s just impossible for a human to become a demon and believe me, since the beginning of time we have experimented on humans, trying to make them a demon and… it never worked.” JaeJoong spoke as if it was no problem at all that he and all the demons before him had tortured all those poor humans, not only for their own entertainment but also to experiment on them. YunHo was sure that they all would have died a really horrible death after all those experiments. “Why? Why have you tried to change them?” Asked YunHo with a horrified voice and he felt sad now that he thought about all the pain all JaeJoong’s victims had suffered. “Why?” Asked JaeJoong surprised. Humans are one of the saddest things ever created! Humans are experimenting on apes and we are experimenting on them!” JaeJoong didn’t tried to sound mean, it was just a fact for him, a normal thing to say but it still sounded so mean! YunHo really looked hurt by JaeJoong’s words, was he also one of the saddest things ever created? “But… why do you want me than if I’m… if I’m one of the saddest things ever created?” YunHo sounded now really sad but also worried because he started to fear that he was also a experiment from JaeJoong, he was afraid that JaeJoong was using him and that if JaeJoong didn’t needed him anymore, he would die, just like all the others before him!
“You are different and I’m not experimenting with you, I can’t do that, not now, not ever” said JaeJoong simple but while the demon master spoke he saw that JaeJoong didn’t looked happy, he was clearly irritated with himself but… why? “I can’t tell you now why I need you, but I promise you that I can’t do anything to hurt or to kill you, even I have a few rules I need to follow” JaeJoong was now visible irritated with himself and because of that YunHo thought that JaeJoong was regretting the fact that he couldn’t hurt him! “Do- do you want to hurt me? If you could do it?” Asked YunHo whit a shaking voice, not sure if he wanted to know the truth because he knew that if JaeJoong would confess to him that he really wanted to hurt him, he still wouldn’t be able to leave him, and that was just… wrong! “No, that was never my intention, but at first, when you weren’t wearing you ring, I had no real feelings for you, I was acting all the time and because I didn’t understood you or liked you, I needed to torture a lot humans to understand you kind better, but now, because you are wearing this ring, some things have changed. And… I will be honest to you YunHo, I don’t like it to feel you emotions, they are weakening me and they are changing me to somebody I don’t want to be.” JaeJoong had sounded honest and he believed the demon master, even now that he knew that JaeJoong could be lying to him and that IF he was lying, he would be trapped again. But… what choice did he have? Believing him and hoping that everything would be alright or… not believing him and live a horrible life in this demonic world, alone and helpless…
“I believe you” said YunHo eventually and tried to look at JaeJoong’s face, hoping to see a friendly smile or just a comforting look in his eyes but… he saw nothing, de demon master just looked irritated like before but… calmer this time. “Can I do something to help you?” YunHo didn’t knew if he could do something for JaeJoong, but if there was something he would do it, he was able to do almost everything if he could safe the demon master. He needed JaeJoong and seeing him like this was making him really sad and afraid because the demon master was all what he had now and the only person who had ever taken care of him! “You are helping me by coming with me and to become mine, we need to bound and only than we can make a chance to STOP those horrible human feelings, when you are mine nobody dares it to touch you and then I can think of a way to control the ring.” But instead of nodding to JaeJoong, and that was what the demon master expected, he looked confused. “But… the ring has already bounded us ring? So… what else is bounding us?” Asked YunHo innocent, he clearly wasn’t thinking about the same things as JaeJoong… So, when JaeJoong suddenly smiled suggestive at him he knew where JaeJoong had been talking about and… His face turned red and he looked nervously away from JaeJoong. He had been talking about… sex! “Oh” was all what YunHo said while he shifted a little nervously on his feet. He already had known that something like this would happen when he had decided to come with JaeJoong but… not this fast and he also didn’t had expected that it would be so important for JaeJoong!
But… at the same time he was ready to give himself to JaeJoong, he had been ready for it before he had been abducted and strangely, knowing that JaeJoong was a demon didn’t had made him change his mind, and if he could help JaeJoong to become strong again, than… yes, he was ready to come with him and to give himself to JaeJoong. It was scary and he was really nervous about it, but he needed to do it! “Are we going now?” Asked YunHo while he tried to listen if YooChun and the others were still inside the same barn as where they were hidden in a shadow realm but he couldn’t hear anything, it was just silent all around them. He wanted to turn around so that he could listen better if he could hear the others but he couldn’t move! JaeJoong had grabbed him again like he had done before and he had pulled him closer against his own body! “Don’t move!” Hissed JaeJoong while he tightened his grip on his arms. “It’s too dangerous for you to be here without me holding you!” JaeJoong almost sounded angry so he looked scared up at the demon master, worried that he would snap or something like that…
“We need to wait until the rain has stopped, I can’t take you with me while I’m traveling in the shadows, I’m not strong enough to do that, so we need to walk, like humans.” JaeJoong looked disgusted by the thought that he needed to walk like a human, he was clearly not used to this and he hated it to do this, but he needed to do it if he wanted to take YunHo with him. “Okay” was all what YunHo said and waited while he listened if he could hear YooChun or the others, but again, it seemed to be totally silent, as if they all were gone but that was impossible, it was still raining outside so they couldn’t leave this place without dying a horrible death. “We can go now, it’s still raining outside but it will stop soon, I can protect and shield you from the rain for those few minutes but you need to stay close besides me and you need to obey me, no matter what, if you want to survive this.” JaeJoong sounded serious and because he still looked weak and exhausted he didn’t wanted to argue with the demon master, so he grabbed JaeJoong by his hand and stepped closer toward him to let him know that he had understood him and that he was ready to do what he was told.
JaeJoong said nothing while he stepped out of the shadow while he pulled YunHo with him, but the first thing he did when they were back into the light was… Transforming almost his whole body! He… looked like a read demon and… YunHo almost had pulled his hand away from JaeJoong, ready to run away but JaeJoong stopped him. The only thing about his body what was still the same was the arm and the hand where he touched YunHo with. “Stay with me” hissed JaeJoong and even his voice wasn’t his anymore! With his eyes big from the fear he tried really hard to NOT listen to his human instincts and to NOT run away from the monster who stood beside him. “I’m not dangerous… not for you” said JaeJoong after a slight hesitation, he clearly wasn’t used to being nice and especially not while he was in his true demonic body, but he did his best to act nice for YunHo, only for him because he needed YunHo, and scaring him away was not really the smartest thing to do. YunHo stared at the demon besides him and he didn’t really like it to see JaeJoong like a demon, he looked… mean and evil! He really didn’t like it to see JaeJoong like this! Shivering and secretly scared for JaeJoong he looked away from the demon master, seeing him like this was a confirmation that everything what YooChun had told him was real, but… he didn’t wanted to believe it! JaeJoong just… looked evil and mean but… that didn’t mean that he really was evil! It was wrong to judge him only on his appearance! Or… he tried to believe that he wasn’t really as evil as he looked.
“W- Where are YooChun and the others?” Asked YunHo with a shaking voice while he still tried to NOT look at JaeJoong and to concentrate on other things than the demon who stood beside him. “They are still hear, but I can’t see them, they are hidden from me” spoke JaeJoong simple and he didn’t seemed to be worried about YooChun. “They aren’t a threat for us” JaeJoong really didn’t seemed to think that they were posing a danger for them, as if he knew that he could kill them in one instant if he wanted to do it. JaeJoong walked toward the door and stopped there, he looked down at YunHo and stared at the shadows all around them. “When we are outside, you will feel the rain, it will not kill you and it will not hurt you, but as a human you will feel uncomfortable while you are walking outside while it’s raining hydrochloric acid. But,-“ JaeJoong looked now with his ugly demonic face down at him, he was serious but he only knew that JaeJoong was serious by the tone in his voice and not by the look in his eyes because he didn’t seemed to be able to look serious or friendly in his demonic form, the only expression he was able to show was a mean and a ugly expression… “But, if you are walking away from me or let go of my hand, the rain will kill you, do you understand me?” finished JaeJoong his sentence.
“I have understood it” whispered YunHo, he really didn’t liked it to leave this barn and to walk outside while it still was raining, he remembered how the man who had died had looked while he had been hurt by the hydrochloric acid rain and he absolutely didn’t wanted to die like that, it was clear that the man had died a horrible and painful death so he really needed to trust JaeJoong if he wanted to leave this barn with him! The demon master could kill him in one instant if he wanted and outside he wouldn’t be able to run away from him if he really needed to! And besides the obvious part that the rain was dangerous there was another thing what made him hesitate, he was afraid for JaeJoong now that he was in his demonic form, he really didn’t wanted to walk closely beside him while he looked like this, but at the same time he knew that he didn’t had another choice, JaeJoong wasn’t confessing it to him, but he knew that JaeJoong wasn’t strong enough to protect him if he wasn’t using his true demonic form, so he obeyed as he promised.
But, JaeJoong didn’t had the patience to wait for him, he was a demon after all so he pulled YunHo closer against his own cold and hard body and… he pulled YunHo with him outside, into the dangerous rain! His first reaction was to close his eyes and to prepare himself for the pain, simply because he secretly wasn’t sure if he could trust JaeJoong that he would protect him but… nothing happened! No pain and no burning rain! Slowly he opened his eyes and stared at JaeJoong, he felt ashamed that he didn’t had trusted JaeJoong but JaeJoong didn’t seemed to be really surprised or hurt by his actions. He saw that JaeJoong’s demonic eyes were now almost as black as the rest of his body but the only difference was that his body was covered with green and bloody red scales and he suspected that they were poisoned like JaeJoong’s claws, so if he looked closely at JaeJoong, he could see his eyes and… his eyes really looked… cold. And JaeJoong had been right about the rain, it was uncomfortable but that was all, the rain was making him nervous, it wasn’t hurting him but the rain was itching him. “Are you okay?” asked JaeJoong, the question sounded forced and he didn’t really seemed to be interested, but he clearly tried to make him comfortable and he was JaeJoong thankful for that.
But, already after a few minutes he discovered that JaeJoong really didn’t liked it to walk like him as a ordinary person, it was too slow for him and apparently too low for him, he really disliked it to do this and he looked the whole time annoyed. But… he did it, for him because he needed to come with JaeJoong and because he wasn’t able to travel like JaeJoong with demonic speed, not now anyway. He wasn’t feeling stronger than he normal was and he knew that he wasn’t able to repeat his actions from before again. “I’m sorry that you need to do this” muttered YunHo while he looked apologetic at the demon master. “Don’t be, you’re a human and all humans are weak, I didn’t expected more than this” spoke JaeJoong cold but, he didn’t seemed to really want to hurt him, it was just JaeJoong’s demonic way of thinking, humans were weak and useless in his eyes. So, YunHo wasn’t offended by JaeJoong’s cold words, he knew now that JaeJoong wasn’t human and that he couldn’t act like a human and if he acted like a human he lied to him or he had been influenced by the powers of the ring. The ring seemed to affect JaeJoong almost more than it was affecting him because he wasn’t feeling mean or evil all the time, yes, he had a few mean thoughts while he had been with YooChun and the others, but not all the time and not as much as JaeJoong.
But, eventually the rain stopped and JaeJoong’s mood seemed to lighten a little. “We can travel faster now” spoke JaeJoong while he transformed back to his human form because he didn’t needed to protect him anymore now that the rain had stopped but… He wasn’t able to travel faster! He already was tired from his walk and the rapid pace JaeJoong had been walking with him and there was no way that he could keep up with the demon master if he would travel faster, he was a human after all end he was NOT able to follow JaeJoong! “Stop, don’t walk faster!” spoke YunHo nervous, he had really no idea how far they needed to walk until they were back at JaeJoong’s palace. He was relieved that JaeJoong was back in his human form because he could read JaeJoong’s facial expressions better now that he looked like a human and… he saw that JaeJoong didn’t looked happy with his words. “Please don’t be mad at me, I try to walk harder” spoke YunHo quickly and felt nervous now that he had made JaeJoong’s mood darker again, just when he had looked a little more friendly. “It’s okay” spoke JaeJoong slightly annoyed, “you are a human after all.” And again, JaeJoong had talked badly about him as a human, but he knew better than to feel offended by it, not anymore anyway.
He wanted to let go of JaeJoong’s had because he didn’t thought that he needed to touch the demon master any longer now that the rain had stopped but… JaeJoong growled! Shocked he looked up at JaeJoong and felt really scared now that the demon master looked with his eyes red from the anger at him. “H- h have I done something wrong?” Whispered YunHo nervous and wasn’t sure if he needed to ran away or to walk closer toward JaeJoong to make him a little more friendly again. “Don’t walk away from me” said JaeJoong while he grabbed YunHo by his arm, but what YunHo didn’t knew was that JaeJoong had felt a human emotion, he had felt fear, fear that YunHo would leave him and that he wouldn’t be able to control the power of the ring without YunHo. He had been afraid that YunHo would run away from him because he had been afraid for JaeJoong and he had been afraid that YunHo would get killed by one of his lower demons who were too stupid to recognize who YunHo was and that he belonged to him! So, he grabbed YunHo by his arm and refused to confess the poor human boy why he had been acting that way. “Don’t be afraid of me, I’m not mad at you” spoke JaeJoong slowly and this time YunHo knew that the demon master had been honest, he sounded different and even the look in his eyes was different this time! YunHo wasn’t sure but he suspected that the demon master again had been affected by his ring and… that made him worried because he didn’t had changed that much, he knew that his thoughts were darker, he also knew that he was able to move faster than ever before… He also loved JaeJoong, even after all he had done and who he was and… it was easier for him to lie, but that was all! But, that was strange right? He was the one who was wearing the demonic ring, so why had JaeJoong more trouble with the ring than he?
YunHo shook his head and sighed, he was afraid that he would get affected too like JaeJoong and… he really didn’t wanted to change more than he already had! He didn’t wanted to be mean, evil or act like a demon, he really didn’t wanted that!!!
“Let’s walk” interrupted JaeJoong his thoughts and started to walk again, still with YunHo’s hand in his. “I will walk on your pace so don’t worry okay?” YunHo stared surprised up at the demon master and saw that he again had been really friendly and that he didn’t had faked his friendliness! Hmmm, he started to like it that JaeJoong had started to change because of the ring! He liked it that JaeJoong was more friendly end even now that he knew that JaeJoong hated it, secretly he hoped that JaeJoong wouldn’t find a way to control the ring to become darker again, he wanted JaeJoong to change and that he would become more like him, human! Fantasying about a friendly but still strong JaeJoong he walked with the demon master through a lot dark alleys, they even passed a few death human corpses and a dark house where he didn’t wanted to walk closer because JaeJoong had told him that the house was haunted end eventually JaeJoong told him that they were almost back at his palace, they were almost home…
YooChun pov
YooChun stood with all his friends in the farthest corner of the barn and they were watching how JaeJoong slowly stepped out of the shadow, like he had expected. He saw how YunHo followed the demon master and he saw that YunHo was scared, he looked around him with his eyes wide and a scared look in his eyes, he clearly didn’t knew what was happening, but he had chosen JaeJoong over his own kind, so he had become their enemy! When the demon master had left the barn, still with YunHo’s hand in his he swore that he would kill JaeJoong and that he would abduct YunHo and the next time he was doing that he wouldn’t be so nice as the last time. No, he wanted to know WHAT YunHo was and WHY he was so important for the demon master! So, YooChun stared at YunHo and JaeJoong, already trying to make a few plans to take revenge for all the victims JaeJoong had made and he KNEW that if there was be a way out of this world, that YunHo would be the key! He didn’t knew how he could use YunHo, but he needed to try it and to take YunHo with him, with or without his permission…

The first thing he did when realized what JaeJoong wanted to do was grabbing the demon master by his arm in a attempt to stop him, and while he did that he even wasn’t sure if JaeJoong would listen to him or if he would be strong enough to get JaeJoong’s attention, he was just a human and not able to stop JaeJoong if he had chosen to ignore him and to just attack all the humans who were inside this bar and to do what where he was good at, kill and murder without mercy! He also wasn’t even sure IF the demon master wanted to listen to him, he still didn’t knew what JaeJoong exactly wanted from him and if he was important enough for JaeJoong to let him stop, even for a few seconds. But… JaeJoong stopped and turned toward him, frowning. “They have taken you away from me, they all are deserving it to die” spoke JaeJoong slowly and again, he saw that there was something wrong with JaeJoong, he looked almost weaker and… it almost seemed as if JaeJoong was concerned about him and THAT was strange! Was that even possible? That a demon was worried about somebody? He shook his head and even now that he still was really confused and that he had mixed feelings about almost everything, he knew one thing for sure, and that was that he didn’t wanted that YooChun and the others were dying because of him. “They have been good for me… Leave them here please, you know that it’s dangerous here and that there are a lot demons here who are hunting them and you know that a lot of them are going to die here in this world, slowly and painfully… Being here is also a torture for them, living in this word is almost worse than dying for us humans.”
JaeJoong stood now with his back toward YooChun and the others, so he didn’t saw the surprised looks while they were staring at him, but nobody said something, they knew that JaeJoong was listening to YunHo and that he was trying to help them, so only a madman would dare it to say something while JaeJoong was really listening to YunHo’s arguments. But even now that YunHo was trying to help them, YooChun looked with a dark expression toward him, as if he was really, REALLY mad at YunHo. But then… JaeJoong shook his head, “I know what you are trying to do YunHo, you are trying to safe-“ and he pointed at YooChun, “- them” finished JaeJoong and looked more dangerous than ever before. “JaeJoong, please! I do what you want but let them go!” Begged YunHo while he tried to NOT look really scared for the safety from the others. “No” spoke JaeJoong suddenly with a really mean voice, “they have taken you away from me and they are going to die because of that! And besides…-” JaeJoong smiled almost at YunHo. “I’m taking you with me, with or without your permission now that I have found you.” JaeJoong pushed YunHo slightly away from him and stepped closer toward YooChun but… He stopped! He growled and shivered, he swayed on his legs as if he had lost his balance and he… almost fell! YunHo saw that YooChun grabbed his weapons and that all the others were following his example, ready to attack JaeJoong now that he was weak and… he needed to do something! He didn’t knew HOW he did it, but he ran, faster than he had done ever before, too fast for a human eye to see, and he… pushed the guns out of the hands from everybody who was trying to attack JaeJoong! Next he ran toward JaeJoong and… He pushed him into the shadow, knowing that the demon master would be safe there, and how he knew that he didn’t knew, but he just knew it!
And at that moment, standing in the shadows, JaeJoong seemed to recover and he was able to move again, he grabbed YunHo, pulled him against his own body and they… disappeared! Everything around them became black, colder than it had been in the barn and the sounds were strange, as if he was hearing everything from a distance… He still was able to hear YooChun and the others, they were shouting at each other and he heard a lot people curse but he knew that he they were still in that same barn, but… hidden and strangely at the same time far away from them. Was that even possible? Still being in the same barn but at the same time far away from the others? “What had just happened?” He stared at JaeJoong with his eyes wide and the fear he felt was clear to hear in his voice! He was able to see the demon master because he… seemed to radiate a strange gray light, too soft to make the darkness in the shadow comfortable but enough for him to see where JaeJoong was and what he was doing.“What happened to you and… How was it possible that I could move so fast?” He didn’t asked JaeJoong why he was radiating gray light, he had seen enough demonic things to know that JaeJoong was doing this to make himself visible in the darkness, just for him to see him. YunHo wasn’t sure if it was smart to ask all those questions, especially because he still didn’t understood WHAT JaeJoong wanted from him but, strangely, he wasn’t afraid anymore for JaeJoong, not even now that he was a demon master and a murderer… He was just… worried for JaeJoong because he KNEW that there was something wrong with him and he was worried about himself because he knew that he never before had been able to move that fast as he had done a few minutes before! It was just NOT human and that was really not a good thing, right?
He felt really lost and disorientated now that everything was black around them so he did the only thing he could thing of and that was to hug JaeJoong tighter, knowing that it was a strange and totally NOT human reaction, but he felt better when he was closer besides JaeJoong and to feel that he wasn’t alone here, it was comforting him to feel the touch from somebody else, even if that other person was JaeJoong, a demon master... “You are changing because of the ring you are wearing, it’s making you more like me, you will become darker.” JaeJoong paused for a moment and seemed to… shiver? Was he shivering? A demon who shivered? “I told you that you would understand me and look now at yourself YunHo, you have protected me against you own kind, you aren’t thinking like a normal human, not all the time anyway…” JaeJoong sounded strange while he spoke, tired and… irritated? But JaeJoong’s strange emotions weren’t his problem at the moment, he… WHAT HAD JAEJOONG JUST SAID TO HIM? He widened his eyes and felt… betrayed, he didn’t wanted to be like JaeJoong, a demon! Would he change and become evil and would he also lose his human body and get poisoned claws like JaeJoong had? Would he become a murderer? Was he going to lose his humanity?! He didn’t wanted that! He wanted to step away from JaeJoong, he needed some time to think but JaeJoong didn’t wanted to let him go, he tightened his grip on his body and he hissed irritated toward YunHo.
“Stay close besides me if you want to survive, you are almost in my shadow realm and I’m NOT strong enough to take care of you here, there are forces here even I can’t control all the time, do you understand me?!” Oh, YunHo stared unsure at JaeJoong, trying to process what he just had heard… Not strong enough? So, he had been right? There was really something wrong with JaeJoong! “Why aren’t you strong enough? Are you sick?” Whispered YunHo, he still felt betrayed by JaeJoong, but it was just impossible for him to stay mad at the demon master for long. “Demons aren’t able to get sick” muttered JaeJoong and he fell silent for a few minutes, he shivered again… “Yes, I’m weakening YunHo… There were some things about the ring I didn’t knew, but you aren’t the only one who is changing… You are feeling my demonic energy and that’s the reason why you are changing but… at the same time I’m feeling you human emotions and you human emotions are the reason why I’m so weak, demons aren’t made to feel emotions, we are born to be strong, powerful and to rule over this word! Human emotions are only weakening and distracting, we don’t need them and I don’t want to become like a sad simple human!” JaeJoong almost sounded angry while he spoke those last few words but at the same time he didn’t seemed to have enough energy to be really angry so he fell silent again. Closing his eyes, YunHo tried to decide what he could do for JaeJoong and at the same time he felt worried about himself, would he become sick from JaeJoong’s demonic energy? “I don’t want to become a demon and to… have a demon body like you have” whispered YunHo sad and wished that he could stop the ring and that he would become his old self again.
“You aren’t turning into a demon and you body will not change, you will stay like you are now, weak and humanlike. It’s just impossible for a human to become a demon and believe me, since the beginning of time we have experimented on humans, trying to make them a demon and… it never worked.” JaeJoong spoke as if it was no problem at all that he and all the demons before him had tortured all those poor humans, not only for their own entertainment but also to experiment on them. YunHo was sure that they all would have died a really horrible death after all those experiments. “Why? Why have you tried to change them?” Asked YunHo with a horrified voice and he felt sad now that he thought about all the pain all JaeJoong’s victims had suffered. “Why?” Asked JaeJoong surprised. Humans are one of the saddest things ever created! Humans are experimenting on apes and we are experimenting on them!” JaeJoong didn’t tried to sound mean, it was just a fact for him, a normal thing to say but it still sounded so mean! YunHo really looked hurt by JaeJoong’s words, was he also one of the saddest things ever created? “But… why do you want me than if I’m… if I’m one of the saddest things ever created?” YunHo sounded now really sad but also worried because he started to fear that he was also a experiment from JaeJoong, he was afraid that JaeJoong was using him and that if JaeJoong didn’t needed him anymore, he would die, just like all the others before him!
“You are different and I’m not experimenting with you, I can’t do that, not now, not ever” said JaeJoong simple but while the demon master spoke he saw that JaeJoong didn’t looked happy, he was clearly irritated with himself but… why? “I can’t tell you now why I need you, but I promise you that I can’t do anything to hurt or to kill you, even I have a few rules I need to follow” JaeJoong was now visible irritated with himself and because of that YunHo thought that JaeJoong was regretting the fact that he couldn’t hurt him! “Do- do you want to hurt me? If you could do it?” Asked YunHo whit a shaking voice, not sure if he wanted to know the truth because he knew that if JaeJoong would confess to him that he really wanted to hurt him, he still wouldn’t be able to leave him, and that was just… wrong! “No, that was never my intention, but at first, when you weren’t wearing you ring, I had no real feelings for you, I was acting all the time and because I didn’t understood you or liked you, I needed to torture a lot humans to understand you kind better, but now, because you are wearing this ring, some things have changed. And… I will be honest to you YunHo, I don’t like it to feel you emotions, they are weakening me and they are changing me to somebody I don’t want to be.” JaeJoong had sounded honest and he believed the demon master, even now that he knew that JaeJoong could be lying to him and that IF he was lying, he would be trapped again. But… what choice did he have? Believing him and hoping that everything would be alright or… not believing him and live a horrible life in this demonic world, alone and helpless…
“I believe you” said YunHo eventually and tried to look at JaeJoong’s face, hoping to see a friendly smile or just a comforting look in his eyes but… he saw nothing, de demon master just looked irritated like before but… calmer this time. “Can I do something to help you?” YunHo didn’t knew if he could do something for JaeJoong, but if there was something he would do it, he was able to do almost everything if he could safe the demon master. He needed JaeJoong and seeing him like this was making him really sad and afraid because the demon master was all what he had now and the only person who had ever taken care of him! “You are helping me by coming with me and to become mine, we need to bound and only than we can make a chance to STOP those horrible human feelings, when you are mine nobody dares it to touch you and then I can think of a way to control the ring.” But instead of nodding to JaeJoong, and that was what the demon master expected, he looked confused. “But… the ring has already bounded us ring? So… what else is bounding us?” Asked YunHo innocent, he clearly wasn’t thinking about the same things as JaeJoong… So, when JaeJoong suddenly smiled suggestive at him he knew where JaeJoong had been talking about and… His face turned red and he looked nervously away from JaeJoong. He had been talking about… sex! “Oh” was all what YunHo said while he shifted a little nervously on his feet. He already had known that something like this would happen when he had decided to come with JaeJoong but… not this fast and he also didn’t had expected that it would be so important for JaeJoong!
But… at the same time he was ready to give himself to JaeJoong, he had been ready for it before he had been abducted and strangely, knowing that JaeJoong was a demon didn’t had made him change his mind, and if he could help JaeJoong to become strong again, than… yes, he was ready to come with him and to give himself to JaeJoong. It was scary and he was really nervous about it, but he needed to do it! “Are we going now?” Asked YunHo while he tried to listen if YooChun and the others were still inside the same barn as where they were hidden in a shadow realm but he couldn’t hear anything, it was just silent all around them. He wanted to turn around so that he could listen better if he could hear the others but he couldn’t move! JaeJoong had grabbed him again like he had done before and he had pulled him closer against his own body! “Don’t move!” Hissed JaeJoong while he tightened his grip on his arms. “It’s too dangerous for you to be here without me holding you!” JaeJoong almost sounded angry so he looked scared up at the demon master, worried that he would snap or something like that…
“We need to wait until the rain has stopped, I can’t take you with me while I’m traveling in the shadows, I’m not strong enough to do that, so we need to walk, like humans.” JaeJoong looked disgusted by the thought that he needed to walk like a human, he was clearly not used to this and he hated it to do this, but he needed to do it if he wanted to take YunHo with him. “Okay” was all what YunHo said and waited while he listened if he could hear YooChun or the others, but again, it seemed to be totally silent, as if they all were gone but that was impossible, it was still raining outside so they couldn’t leave this place without dying a horrible death. “We can go now, it’s still raining outside but it will stop soon, I can protect and shield you from the rain for those few minutes but you need to stay close besides me and you need to obey me, no matter what, if you want to survive this.” JaeJoong sounded serious and because he still looked weak and exhausted he didn’t wanted to argue with the demon master, so he grabbed JaeJoong by his hand and stepped closer toward him to let him know that he had understood him and that he was ready to do what he was told.
JaeJoong said nothing while he stepped out of the shadow while he pulled YunHo with him, but the first thing he did when they were back into the light was… Transforming almost his whole body! He… looked like a read demon and… YunHo almost had pulled his hand away from JaeJoong, ready to run away but JaeJoong stopped him. The only thing about his body what was still the same was the arm and the hand where he touched YunHo with. “Stay with me” hissed JaeJoong and even his voice wasn’t his anymore! With his eyes big from the fear he tried really hard to NOT listen to his human instincts and to NOT run away from the monster who stood beside him. “I’m not dangerous… not for you” said JaeJoong after a slight hesitation, he clearly wasn’t used to being nice and especially not while he was in his true demonic body, but he did his best to act nice for YunHo, only for him because he needed YunHo, and scaring him away was not really the smartest thing to do. YunHo stared at the demon besides him and he didn’t really like it to see JaeJoong like a demon, he looked… mean and evil! He really didn’t like it to see JaeJoong like this! Shivering and secretly scared for JaeJoong he looked away from the demon master, seeing him like this was a confirmation that everything what YooChun had told him was real, but… he didn’t wanted to believe it! JaeJoong just… looked evil and mean but… that didn’t mean that he really was evil! It was wrong to judge him only on his appearance! Or… he tried to believe that he wasn’t really as evil as he looked.
“W- Where are YooChun and the others?” Asked YunHo with a shaking voice while he still tried to NOT look at JaeJoong and to concentrate on other things than the demon who stood beside him. “They are still hear, but I can’t see them, they are hidden from me” spoke JaeJoong simple and he didn’t seemed to be worried about YooChun. “They aren’t a threat for us” JaeJoong really didn’t seemed to think that they were posing a danger for them, as if he knew that he could kill them in one instant if he wanted to do it. JaeJoong walked toward the door and stopped there, he looked down at YunHo and stared at the shadows all around them. “When we are outside, you will feel the rain, it will not kill you and it will not hurt you, but as a human you will feel uncomfortable while you are walking outside while it’s raining hydrochloric acid. But,-“ JaeJoong looked now with his ugly demonic face down at him, he was serious but he only knew that JaeJoong was serious by the tone in his voice and not by the look in his eyes because he didn’t seemed to be able to look serious or friendly in his demonic form, the only expression he was able to show was a mean and a ugly expression… “But, if you are walking away from me or let go of my hand, the rain will kill you, do you understand me?” finished JaeJoong his sentence.
“I have understood it” whispered YunHo, he really didn’t liked it to leave this barn and to walk outside while it still was raining, he remembered how the man who had died had looked while he had been hurt by the hydrochloric acid rain and he absolutely didn’t wanted to die like that, it was clear that the man had died a horrible and painful death so he really needed to trust JaeJoong if he wanted to leave this barn with him! The demon master could kill him in one instant if he wanted and outside he wouldn’t be able to run away from him if he really needed to! And besides the obvious part that the rain was dangerous there was another thing what made him hesitate, he was afraid for JaeJoong now that he was in his demonic form, he really didn’t wanted to walk closely beside him while he looked like this, but at the same time he knew that he didn’t had another choice, JaeJoong wasn’t confessing it to him, but he knew that JaeJoong wasn’t strong enough to protect him if he wasn’t using his true demonic form, so he obeyed as he promised.
But, JaeJoong didn’t had the patience to wait for him, he was a demon after all so he pulled YunHo closer against his own cold and hard body and… he pulled YunHo with him outside, into the dangerous rain! His first reaction was to close his eyes and to prepare himself for the pain, simply because he secretly wasn’t sure if he could trust JaeJoong that he would protect him but… nothing happened! No pain and no burning rain! Slowly he opened his eyes and stared at JaeJoong, he felt ashamed that he didn’t had trusted JaeJoong but JaeJoong didn’t seemed to be really surprised or hurt by his actions. He saw that JaeJoong’s demonic eyes were now almost as black as the rest of his body but the only difference was that his body was covered with green and bloody red scales and he suspected that they were poisoned like JaeJoong’s claws, so if he looked closely at JaeJoong, he could see his eyes and… his eyes really looked… cold. And JaeJoong had been right about the rain, it was uncomfortable but that was all, the rain was making him nervous, it wasn’t hurting him but the rain was itching him. “Are you okay?” asked JaeJoong, the question sounded forced and he didn’t really seemed to be interested, but he clearly tried to make him comfortable and he was JaeJoong thankful for that.
But, already after a few minutes he discovered that JaeJoong really didn’t liked it to walk like him as a ordinary person, it was too slow for him and apparently too low for him, he really disliked it to do this and he looked the whole time annoyed. But… he did it, for him because he needed to come with JaeJoong and because he wasn’t able to travel like JaeJoong with demonic speed, not now anyway. He wasn’t feeling stronger than he normal was and he knew that he wasn’t able to repeat his actions from before again. “I’m sorry that you need to do this” muttered YunHo while he looked apologetic at the demon master. “Don’t be, you’re a human and all humans are weak, I didn’t expected more than this” spoke JaeJoong cold but, he didn’t seemed to really want to hurt him, it was just JaeJoong’s demonic way of thinking, humans were weak and useless in his eyes. So, YunHo wasn’t offended by JaeJoong’s cold words, he knew now that JaeJoong wasn’t human and that he couldn’t act like a human and if he acted like a human he lied to him or he had been influenced by the powers of the ring. The ring seemed to affect JaeJoong almost more than it was affecting him because he wasn’t feeling mean or evil all the time, yes, he had a few mean thoughts while he had been with YooChun and the others, but not all the time and not as much as JaeJoong.
But, eventually the rain stopped and JaeJoong’s mood seemed to lighten a little. “We can travel faster now” spoke JaeJoong while he transformed back to his human form because he didn’t needed to protect him anymore now that the rain had stopped but… He wasn’t able to travel faster! He already was tired from his walk and the rapid pace JaeJoong had been walking with him and there was no way that he could keep up with the demon master if he would travel faster, he was a human after all end he was NOT able to follow JaeJoong! “Stop, don’t walk faster!” spoke YunHo nervous, he had really no idea how far they needed to walk until they were back at JaeJoong’s palace. He was relieved that JaeJoong was back in his human form because he could read JaeJoong’s facial expressions better now that he looked like a human and… he saw that JaeJoong didn’t looked happy with his words. “Please don’t be mad at me, I try to walk harder” spoke YunHo quickly and felt nervous now that he had made JaeJoong’s mood darker again, just when he had looked a little more friendly. “It’s okay” spoke JaeJoong slightly annoyed, “you are a human after all.” And again, JaeJoong had talked badly about him as a human, but he knew better than to feel offended by it, not anymore anyway.
He wanted to let go of JaeJoong’s had because he didn’t thought that he needed to touch the demon master any longer now that the rain had stopped but… JaeJoong growled! Shocked he looked up at JaeJoong and felt really scared now that the demon master looked with his eyes red from the anger at him. “H- h have I done something wrong?” Whispered YunHo nervous and wasn’t sure if he needed to ran away or to walk closer toward JaeJoong to make him a little more friendly again. “Don’t walk away from me” said JaeJoong while he grabbed YunHo by his arm, but what YunHo didn’t knew was that JaeJoong had felt a human emotion, he had felt fear, fear that YunHo would leave him and that he wouldn’t be able to control the power of the ring without YunHo. He had been afraid that YunHo would run away from him because he had been afraid for JaeJoong and he had been afraid that YunHo would get killed by one of his lower demons who were too stupid to recognize who YunHo was and that he belonged to him! So, he grabbed YunHo by his arm and refused to confess the poor human boy why he had been acting that way. “Don’t be afraid of me, I’m not mad at you” spoke JaeJoong slowly and this time YunHo knew that the demon master had been honest, he sounded different and even the look in his eyes was different this time! YunHo wasn’t sure but he suspected that the demon master again had been affected by his ring and… that made him worried because he didn’t had changed that much, he knew that his thoughts were darker, he also knew that he was able to move faster than ever before… He also loved JaeJoong, even after all he had done and who he was and… it was easier for him to lie, but that was all! But, that was strange right? He was the one who was wearing the demonic ring, so why had JaeJoong more trouble with the ring than he?
YunHo shook his head and sighed, he was afraid that he would get affected too like JaeJoong and… he really didn’t wanted to change more than he already had! He didn’t wanted to be mean, evil or act like a demon, he really didn’t wanted that!!!
“Let’s walk” interrupted JaeJoong his thoughts and started to walk again, still with YunHo’s hand in his. “I will walk on your pace so don’t worry okay?” YunHo stared surprised up at the demon master and saw that he again had been really friendly and that he didn’t had faked his friendliness! Hmmm, he started to like it that JaeJoong had started to change because of the ring! He liked it that JaeJoong was more friendly end even now that he knew that JaeJoong hated it, secretly he hoped that JaeJoong wouldn’t find a way to control the ring to become darker again, he wanted JaeJoong to change and that he would become more like him, human! Fantasying about a friendly but still strong JaeJoong he walked with the demon master through a lot dark alleys, they even passed a few death human corpses and a dark house where he didn’t wanted to walk closer because JaeJoong had told him that the house was haunted end eventually JaeJoong told him that they were almost back at his palace, they were almost home…
YooChun pov
YooChun stood with all his friends in the farthest corner of the barn and they were watching how JaeJoong slowly stepped out of the shadow, like he had expected. He saw how YunHo followed the demon master and he saw that YunHo was scared, he looked around him with his eyes wide and a scared look in his eyes, he clearly didn’t knew what was happening, but he had chosen JaeJoong over his own kind, so he had become their enemy! When the demon master had left the barn, still with YunHo’s hand in his he swore that he would kill JaeJoong and that he would abduct YunHo and the next time he was doing that he wouldn’t be so nice as the last time. No, he wanted to know WHAT YunHo was and WHY he was so important for the demon master! So, YooChun stared at YunHo and JaeJoong, already trying to make a few plans to take revenge for all the victims JaeJoong had made and he KNEW that if there was be a way out of this world, that YunHo would be the key! He didn’t knew how he could use YunHo, but he needed to try it and to take YunHo with him, with or without his permission…
