Chapter 7
Craving for him...
YunHo POV
The door slammed open and all the man who had abducted him a few hours earlier now all ran toward him, they were shouting, some of them were painting more strange symbols on the wall, others were searching for their weapons and tried to search for JaeJoong or any other demon who could be still here and YooChun, the man who had talked to him before JaeJoong had found him, grabbed him by his shoulders and spoke to him, but… He didn’t understood where YooChun was talking about, he… was in shock and just before YooChun could say anything more, he fainted from all the stress and fear he had experienced since the last few minutes. He didn’t saw that YooChun had prevented him to fall to the ground while he fainted and that all the other people who were still inside the room started to examine him, searching for some demonic symbols or other tracking symbols. It was a good thing that he had fainted because they still would have examined him when he was awake. They all were really worried because they still didn’t knew why JaeJoong wanted to have YunHo and what JaeJoong would be able to do to get his human back. But, they didn’t found any symbols on his body, JaeJoong had simply been too weak to do it, but none of the humans knew that. They just assumed that the demon master didn’t had enough time to make a few good symbols on his body but they still wanted to ask YunHo what happened and what JaeJoong had told him. They needed to know EVERYTHING if they wanted to kill the demon master!
“We need to find out why he is so special for the demon master and maybe we can use YunHo against JaeJoong” spoke YooChun while he looked at every person who was with him in the room. “I also want to know if he still can be saved or not, and if he can’t be saved we need to know if it would be better to kill him. Dying a quick death with us is better than slowly in the hands from a demon master like JaeJoong, if JaeJoong want to kill him… I’m not sure why the demon master want to have YunHo, but I have a suspicion that the demon master is using YunHo for something important and that he don’t want to just kill him for their entertainment” spoke YooChun with a sad voice, he didn’t liked it to kill a innocent human, but he knew that he would be able to do it if he really needed to do it, especially in this world and if he could prevent it that YunHo would die a slowly and painful death…
A few minutes later, when YunHo woke up he saw that he still was in bed, but this time without the handcuffs and YooChun was gone, he was alone again. He felt confused and scared because he remembered everything what had happened and he felt… horrible! He had fallen in love with a demon and the worst part was that he still loved JaeJoong, even now that he knew who and what he was and that… was just so wrong! It was very wrong, but he couldn’t help it! He still loved JaeJoong, the demon who was mean, evil and VERY dangerous. He simply loved him, everything about him and he just couldn’t stop with thinking about him! He also knew that he couldn’t talk about it to YooChun and the others who have brought him here, it was clear that they all hated JaeJoong and… they were right! They needed to hate him! It was so wrong that he still loved JaeJoong, after all what he had done and… he remembered the little boy he had found, he had seemed so afraid for JaeJoong! How he knew why the little boy had been afraid and that his sister had really died… JaeJoong had done this to him and his sister! Frustrated and confused he sighed and put his head in his hands, he had really no idea what he needed to do. He knew that it would be smart to run away, as fast as possible, and to NOT go back to JaeJoong, simply because, well, he was a DEMON and he had no idea what JaeJoong wanted from him and if he would survive it if JaeJoong would find him!
YunHo looked at the ring he wore around his finger and felt… strange, he didn’t knew why JaeJoong wanted him to wear this, he also had no idea what the ring would do to him, but secretly he hoped that JaeJoong would come back for him, to tell him that everything would be alright and that he didn’t needed to worry. He just wished that this all was a joke and that he would be able to return to his old and simple life, even the live he had lived before JaeJoong had taken care of him was better than this! Frustrated about his mixed and confused feelings he made a loud annoyed sound and just than he saw that he wasn’t alone anymore. YooChun sat in a chair, close besides the door but hidden in the shadow and he… was watching him! He had really no idea when YooChun had entered the room, but he was sure that YooChun had entered the room only a few minutes ago, when he had been lost in his own thoughts. Without greeting him or even being nice to him he spoke to YunHo, ignoring the fact that YunHo was still very young, only sixteen year old and that he really needed some comfort instead of this… “What wanted JaeJoong, what has he said to you and why didn’t he killed us all when he had the chance to do it?” Asked YooChun slowly while he watched YunHo’s reactions carefully. He also didn’t asked YunHo if he was feeling okay or if he needed something, he clearly didn’t trusted this situation and wanted to have a few answers, quick! YunHo looked at YooChun and felt intimidated by the look in his eyes, he knew that the other man didn’t trusted him and that he wanted to have some answers, but… he just KNEW that it would be stupid to tell him the truth about his feelings and what had happened between JaeJoong and himself, he just couldn’t tell YooChun about JaeJoong, it was simply impossible for him to do it! A part of him wanted to tell YooChun everything, to confess his feelings and to tell him what he really thought about JaeJoong, but… something prevented him from doing it. He felt that the ring was heavier than normal but that wasn’t so strange anymore, it was a demonic ring after all…
So… he did something what was very wrong, even now that he knew that it could be dangerous for YooChun and his friends, and he lied to YooChun about JaeJoong, not able to betray JaeJoong. “I- I don’t know what he wanted from me, I already told you that the last time when you asked me about him” whispered YunHo, and that wasn’t a lie, he really had no idea what JaeJoong wanted from him and why JaeJoong wanted to marry with him, a normal human boy who wasn’t able to do anything special, he just had no idea why it was so important for JaeJoong to marry him, to have him like a… human pet or something like that… He felt a little embarrassed about it, but he also knew that JaeJoong had wanted to have sex with him. So he wasn’t lying about this to YooChun. But to answer YooChun’s other two questions… he just knew that he couldn’t tell the truth, he knew that he couldn’t tell YooChun what really happened between himself and JaeJoong in this room, a few minutes earlier… “He… he didn’t had said anything to me, he just… he was just angry, he talked about the symbols on the wall and that he didn’t liked them…” YunHo hesitated, he wasn’t really a good liar, his face always colored red when he tried to lie so he hoped that he was convincing enough, but to hide his colored face he looked down at his hands, avoiding it to look YooChun in his eyes. But, he knew that YooChun didn’t knew him, he didn’t knew how he looked when he lied so maybe he would believe him so he tried to spoke again. “End eh…” he stopped mid-sentence and he thought about how JaeJoong had looked when he had saw him, he had looked weaker, tired and he had looked sad at him. He just knew that something was weakening the demon master, he didn’t knew what exactly was going on, but… he just knew instinctively that something was really wrong.
“I don’t know why he didn’t tried to kill us all when he was here, I really don’t know…” muttered YunHo while he again looked down at his folded hands. It felt so wrong to lie, to defend a demon and to betray his own kind, but… he just couldn’t betray JaeJoong, betraying him was just… he just couldn’t do it! “Okay” was all what YooChun responded and this time he couldn’t see if YooChun believed his story or not, YooChun was really good at hiding his emotions so the only thing YunHo could do was hope that the YooChun had believed him. “We can’t stay here now that the demon master knows where we are, it’s not safe here.” YooChun walked toward the door and turned one last time toward him. “We are leaving within a hour and it will be dangerous when we are leaving this place. I assume that you never have seen the world we are living in because you didn’t knew about the demons, so prepare yourself.” And then, when he had said those words, YooChun left and he was alone and he felt… horrible for what he had done?! He had lied to the only real persons he had ever seen! Now that he knew about the demons he wasn’t sure anymore what was real and what not. Was the woman who had taken care of him also been a… real human? Or had she been a demon? Like JaeJoong? Frustrated he stared down at his ring, he KNEW that it was wrong to still love JaeJoong, to protect him after all the evil he had done, but… he JUST COULDN’T INGORE HIS FEELINGS!
Frustrated and really confused he stood in the middle of the room, trying to think of a way to get out of all the trouble he was in and he wanted to know what he needed to do with his feelings! Sighing he… decided to NOT listen to his feelings, he was a human and he needed to stay with his own kind, and not with a really powerful demon master who was evil and could kill him within seconds! He… he knew that he wanted to be with JaeJoong, he also knew that he wouldn’t be able to betray the demon master, that was just impossible, but… he also knew that he needed to stay away from him, or… he tried to convince himself that he needed to stay away from JaeJoong, that it would be dangerous and really insane to be with him, to love him and to… accept everything he is doing and to… ignore everything he has done to all his poor slaves! So… still with mixed feelings he waited for YooChun to return to him when it would be time to leave this place and then it tuck him... YooChun had told him to prepare himself to leave, but… how did he needed to prepare himself? He even didn’t knew what was out there and where they were going?!
He had hoped that he could stay here longer and not because he felt really safe here, but because… he secretly hoped that he could see JaeJoong again, he had been here before so… maybe he would come back to him? NO! He shook his head and felt angry with himself, why was he feeling this way? It was just wrong to think about JaeJoong like that! To wish that he could see him again and that… he would take him back with him, back to that place with all the demons where he had been kept like a human pet! JaeJoong had always taken good care of him good but… for how long would he have done that? Angry with himself he started to pace, trying very hard to distract himself from thinking about JaeJoong and while he did that he didn’t saw how YooChun had opened the door and that the other man stepped toward him. He stood there a few minutes, watching YunHo before he cleared his throat to make his presence known. “Oh, eh… Are we going now?” YunHo sounded nervous, he wasn’t sure how long YooChun had been watching him but he didn’t really liked it that this man he had just had met had been watching him. “Yes” spoke YooChun slowly and stepped closer toward him. “I need to tell you a few rules before we are going, so listen good to me if you want to survive this, do you understand me?” YooChun sounded serious and authoritarian while he spoke and at that moment he realized that YooChun must be the leader from all the people he had met here.
“Eh, yes… I’m listening” nodded YunHo and stared at the older male, he already knew that it was dangerous outside, JaeJoong had forbidden him to leave the palace BECAUSE it was too dangerous for him, and if he, a demon master, didn’t wanted him to be there, it must be really dangerous and scary! So, when he waited for YooChun to start with talking, he felt really nervous and he even wasn’t sure if he wanted to go, maybe he just… could wait here? And… Maybe would JaeJoong come back for him? NOOOO! Again, he shook his head slightly, he refused to think about JaeJoong that way, he had decided to go with YooChun so he needed to STOP with thinking about that demon! It wasn’t healthy! “Are you alright?” YooChun had clearly watched him while he had thought about JaeJoong and now he probably thought that he had become crazy! “Yes, yes… I’m alright!” angry with himself he tried again to ignore his feelings and to concentrate on YooChun, he needed to survive and to escape from JaeJoong, and he needed to do it quick before he would get in more trouble than he already was!
YooChun hesitated for a moment bore he spoke again, but when he spoke he looked more careful. “I want you to know that the outside world is really dangerous, there are demons there, everywhere, in every shadow and every dark alley… And they are all more than willingly to kill all of us! So, I want you to STAY WITH US all the time and to do what we are telling you. You aren’t doing ANYTHING without asking one of us if it’s okay what you want to do, you aren’t going to make you own decisions and I want you to understand, that IF you are in danger, and if it would be suicide for us to help you, we will leave you behind, the safety of our group is more important than only one person. I know that this is sounding really harsh, but we are living a dangerous world and sometimes we are forced to make some really difficult choices, and this is one of them.” At first he… just stared at YooChun, the thought that he could die there was making him scared and knowing that YooChun would leave him if it would be too dangerous for them to safe him that was just… He shivered but tried to look brave, he didn’t wanted to look weak, especially now that he knew that he could die out there! “YunHo?” He looked up when YooChun had called his name and… he saw that the other male smiled friendly at him. “Don’t worry, we are only leaving somebody behind when there is no other option and I only have done it three times in more than six years, so if you are doing what we are telling you, there is a chance that you can survive this.”
And when YooChun had spoke, he actually had sounded… friendly. “Now, come and let’s leave this place before the demons are coming back and I’m sure that they are already watching this place, ready to attack us if they have the chance.” YooChun sounded as if this was a really normal thing, knowing that there are demons out there, ready to kill them all, but… it was probably normal for him, he seemed to know what they could suspect and how they needed to defend themselves. But, even now that he already knew that it would be dangerous outside, he didn’t expected it that YooChun gave him a REAL gun! At first he only stared at the gun, not sure if he wanted to take it, he had never before seen a real gun end he was sure that if he would take it he would do something stupid, like shooting himself accidently in his own feet! “Eh… I can’t take that… I’m… I’m too young, I’m only sixteen years old…” He sounded nervous, simply because he wasn’t sure if he wanted to take it, he was afraid to fight and holding a gun was just… “You need to YunHo, I can’t protect you when we are outside, not all the time. You need to take care of yourself as much as possible. Take it” YooChun grabbed his hand and placed the gun in it. “I know that you are sixteen years old, but I also know that you need to grow up if you want to survive in this world, there is no place here for weakness, and children are weak YunHo, so don’t be a child! And I know that I’m sounding rude, but that’s the truth.” YooChun pointed at the gun he now had in his hands before he spoke again. “This isn’t a normal gun, it’s only made to kill demons, so you can’t use it against humans, it simply wouldn’t work. A demon even can’t touch this gun or stand it to look at it.”
YunHo shivered again, he didn’t liked it to feel the weight of the gun in his hand, but he knew better than to protest, especially not now YooChun had made clear that he needed to obey and to grow up. So, he did the only thing he could and that was nodding to YooChun. He was used to it that others were telling him what to do and what not, his whole life had been this way, so he even didn’t tried to argue with the older male! He followed YooChun out of the room he had been in for the last few hours and he saw for the first time how the rest of the house looked and… it was just like his room, the walls were painted with all those strange symbols, everywhere he saw weapons, some of them he recognized but most of them were strange and he even didn’t knew how to use them. He also saw that every human was waiting there, and there were a lot persons, all ready to fight! There were more people now here than he had seen the first time when had been abducted by them. There were more males than females, but they all were… like YooChun, warriors, they all were wearing weapons, they all had scars and they all were looking as if they were ready to kill! Not so sure if he like them he did slowly a step away from them and swallowed. When he had agreed to live with JaeJoong, all those weeks ago, he didn’t had suspected that he would end here, in a dangerous place with people who all were ready to kill him if they needed to! He just wished that… it all was just a bad dream and that he would wake up!
But this wasn’t a dream and he wouldn’t wake up from it, he knew that now and that wasn’t comforting at all! But, luckily, YooChun didn’t wanted to waste more time than he already had and he didn’t started to introduce everyone, instead he ordered everyone to grab a raincoat with a hood? Why did they need to wear that? But again, he obeyed and YooChun ordered everybody to go and to be ready. Everybody knew what he or she needed to do and they acted as if they had been trained and drilled like real soldiers! YooChun grabbed him by his arm and ordered him to stay in the middle of the group and to stay there, no matter what, and then everybody started to walk! Somebody opened a door and when he walked trough it he… didn’t had expected the outside world to look like this! It was dark outside, there were no stars in the sky, there was no moon… The only light he saw was coming from a few really strange red clouds? Were clouds really red? He always had read in his books that they were supposed to be white. He looked more at the clouds and saw that they were radiating a really strange, red light and it was… scary! It just felt wrong! He looked at YooChun to see if everything was fine because he had stopped with walking, just when they had stepped outside. He saw that… YooChun stared just like him at the clouds and when he looked at the others he saw that they were doing the same thing… They all looked worried and some of them started to check if the raincoats they were wearing was covering their whole body’s.
“Is there something wrong?” whispered YunHo, he saw that everybody looked worried and that some of them even looked back at the safety of the house! “The red clouds you’re seeing are really dangerous, they aren’t filled with water but…” YooChun paused and stared at a few others who were standing beside them. “The clouds are filled with hydrochloric acid, so when it’s starting to rain, we are in real danger, the rain will kill us, that’s why we are wearing the raincoats, it will protect us for a little while.” YooChun sounded now really worried, and that was… scary! YooChun always seemed so… brave and knowing that he feared something, that was… just not normal! “Are we going back?” Whispered YunHo while he did a step backwards like a few others, closer toward the house. “No!” Hissed YooChun and grabbed him by his arm to prevent him from running away. “We can’t go back, if we are staying there, the demons are going to find us and kill us all, we need to leave now we still have a change!” While YooChun had spoke he saw that the others were agreeing with YooChun, even the ones who also looked back at the house, like he had done. “We are going, now!” Hissed YooChun, “The clouds are still not tight enough to start raining, so we still have time!” And while YooChun had spoke those words, he started to walk again, forcing YunHo to follow him.
“Where are we going?” Whispered YunHo when the group stopped for a few seconds, YooChun always wanted to check every shadow every few minutes, just to make sure that they weren’t followed so this was his change to ask something. “We have another safe house, we are almost there” spoke the man besides him but before he could ask something else the man grabbed him by his arm and pushed him forward because YooChun had started to walk again. But… Just then, at that moment, he had the feeling that they were still watched, even now that YooChun had checked the shadows for demons and now that he didn’t had found anything, still he had the feeling that they weren’t alone! Worried he looked around him, trying to see if there was indeed somebody out there, but… he didn’t saw anything! His heartbeat started to beat faster when he wondered if JaeJoong would be out there, trying to find him! But again, he shook his head, why was he ALWAYS thinking about JaeJoong? It was just wrong! Trying to distract himself he looked at YooChun, hoping that he would bring them fast to the safe house where the man besides him had talked about, he really didn’t wanted to stay here any longer than he already was! The clouds were scary and he knew that there was danger EVERYWHERE around him!
“It’s starting to rain!” Screamed suddenly somebody from behind him and… The whole group started to ran! “NOW! RAN AND HIDE YOURSELF UNDER YOU HOOD” Yelled YooChun and the man who had talked to him earlier grabbed him again by his arm and pulled him with him! “Now, we need to find a place where we could find some shelter from the rain!” While they ran, he heard how somebody started to scream again from behind him, and he saw how a middle aged man had fallen to the ground, he had a few burn wounds on his face and he… didn’t moved while he lied on the ground! And he knew that is was wrong, but his first instinct was to… walk toward him and to… look closer at his wounds, to see if he was really death and if he had suffered! “YunHo, COME NOW!” Hissed YooChun and the next moment he felt that a few people were grabbing, pushing and almost carrying him toward a old and dirty looking barn! “You have left him?!” he stared at YooChun and felt horrible, not only because they had left the man behind, but also because of his own thoughts! “He is death YunHo, he had lost his hood and the hydrochloric acid rain has burned him to death, we couldn’t safe him.” YooChun sounded harsh while she spoke and he knew that he was lucky that he still was alive while he looked behind him! The clouds were now really red and it started to rain harder and harder while they were waiting and… The rain was smelling strange, he didn’t really liked it. He tried to look around him to see if the plants around him were able to survive in this rain but he saw… that there were no plants, no trees, no shrubs… nothing!
“We are waiting here until it’s safe to go further” spoke YooChun and he ordered four man to stand on guard while the others were waiting, but still, he had the feeling that they all were watched! He knew that he needed to talk to YooChun about his feeling but at the same time, he couldn’t do it because he still, secretly, hoped that JaeJoong would be there, looking for him, waiting for him… Frustrated he closed his eyes and felt horrible. “YunHo, I’m here… I have come for you…” Shocked he looked around him, wondering who had spoken to him, but… nobody seemed to have heard the voice he just had heard! “YunHo, I’m here and I’m going to take you with me, so sit still and wait for me…” Oh! He knew that voice! JaeJoong… he was here! He knew that he needed to scream, to shout and to warn EVERYONE that JaeJoong was here, and that they were in danger and trapped here, but… he just couldn’t do it! Hearing JaeJoong’s voice, whispering in his ear was… making him calm and… he realized that he had missed it to hear his voice! “This is so wrong…” Muttered YunHo to himself but still, he wasn’t able to stand up and to warn the others, so he did what JaeJoong had ordered him to do and he… waited, knowing that IF JaeJoong would attack them, nobody could escape from this place, it was still raining outside so leaving this barn was not possible! This was a trap and there was no escape possible… The rain, the barn… The feeling that they were watched… JaeJoong had followed them and he had waited for the right moment, and now he was here and he knew that a lot people would die here tonight…
He was the first one who saw it, he saw that some of the shadows started to move, it was scaring to see all the shadows in the red light from the clouds, but he saw it and he knew that JaeJoong was here, ready to claim him. But.. there was something else what was surprising him, and that was that he didn’t saw any other demons here, JaeJoong was alone! Why was he alone? YooChun was really dangerous, even for a human but… JaeJoong was a demon master, so… why was he alone here while he could order any demon he wanted to be here? A few minutes later, when he already knew that JaeJoong was here, preparing himself to make himself visible, and while he was busy fighting his confused emotions, trying to decide what to do, to yell at the others that JaeJoong was here, or to just sit and wait for JaeJoong he heard how the others were yelling at each other! “He is here, a demon is here!” Everybody grabbed their weapons, but he… he didn’t followed the others, he didn’t grabbed the gun YooChun had given him, he didn’t tried to run away, he just sat there… He saw, just before he closed his eyes, that JaeJoong stepped out of the shadows, he saw that JaeJoong looked at him and he saw that… YooChun stared at him and JaeJoong… But when he had closed his eyes, the screaming started! He heard how a few persons were screaming, he heard how somebody fired a gun but he knew instinctive that JaeJoong wasn’t really wounded and that he was still coming toward him…
He felt how a hand grabbed him by his arm and how somebody pulled him upright. “I’m here YunHo and I’m taking you home.” YunHo opened his eyes and… saw JaeJoong. He really looked horrible, he looked tired, he had bangs under his eyes… He just wasn’t healthy and… he was worried for JaeJoong! Knowing that it was wrong, but at the same time not able to stop himself, he hugged JaeJoong. “Take me with you” spoke YunHo out loud while he still hugged JaeJoong. He saw that EVERYBODY who was still alive, stared at him and JaeJoong and they looked… disgusted! “Of course, but… we need to walk” JaeJoong whispered those words in his ear, too soft for the others to hear it and at that moment he was sure that there was really something horrible wrong with JaeJoong. “Okay” spoke YunHo out loud, he didn’t worried about the rain, about the others who were watching him and JaeJoong, it just didn’t mattered anymore… He knew that he was doomed, but… he just wasn’t able to ignore JaeJoong and he… placed his hand in JaeJoong’s, ready to follow him, and while he did that, everybody saw that one of his eyes, his right eye, slowly colored black like JaeJoong’s eyes…

Dying a quick death with us is better than slowly in the hands from a demon master like JaeJoong, if JaeJoong want to kill him… I’m not sure why the demon master want to have YunHo, but I have a suspicion that the demon master is using YunHo for something important and that he don’t want to just kill him for their entertainment” spoke YooChun with a sad voice, he didn’t liked it to kill a innocent human, but he knew that he would be able to do it if he really needed to do it, especially in this world and if he could prevent it that YunHo would die a slowly and painful death…
A few minutes later, when YunHo woke up he saw that he still was in bed, but this time without the handcuffs and YooChun was gone, he was alone again. He felt confused and scared because he remembered everything what had happened and he felt… horrible! He had fallen in love with a demon and the worst part was that he still loved JaeJoong, even now that he knew who and what he was and that… was just so wrong! It was very wrong, but he couldn’t help it! He still loved JaeJoong, the demon who was mean, evil and VERY dangerous. He simply loved him, everything about him and he just couldn’t stop with thinking about him! He also knew that he couldn’t talk about it to YooChun and the others who have brought him here, it was clear that they all hated JaeJoong and… they were right! They needed to hate him! It was so wrong that he still loved JaeJoong, after all what he had done and… he remembered the little boy he had found, he had seemed so afraid for JaeJoong! How he knew why the little boy had been afraid and that his sister had really died… JaeJoong had done this to him and his sister! Frustrated and confused he sighed and put his head in his hands, he had really no idea what he needed to do. He knew that it would be smart to run away, as fast as possible, and to NOT go back to JaeJoong, simply because, well, he was a DEMON and he had no idea what JaeJoong wanted from him and if he would survive it if JaeJoong would find him!
YunHo looked at the ring he wore around his finger and felt… strange, he didn’t knew why JaeJoong wanted him to wear this, he also had no idea what the ring would do to him, but secretly he hoped that JaeJoong would come back for him, to tell him that everything would be alright and that he didn’t needed to worry. He just wished that this all was a joke and that he would be able to return to his old and simple life, even the live he had lived before JaeJoong had taken care of him was better than this! Frustrated about his mixed and confused feelings he made a loud annoyed sound and just than he saw that he wasn’t alone anymore. YooChun sat in a chair, close besides the door but hidden in the shadow and he… was watching him! He had really no idea when YooChun had entered the room, but he was sure that YooChun had entered the room only a few minutes ago, when he had been lost in his own thoughts. Without greeting him or even being nice to him he spoke to YunHo, ignoring the fact that YunHo was still very young, only sixteen year old and that he really needed some comfort instead of this… “What wanted JaeJoong, what has he said to you and why didn’t he killed us all when he had the chance to do it?” Asked YooChun slowly while he watched YunHo’s reactions carefully. He also didn’t asked YunHo if he was feeling okay or if he needed something, he clearly didn’t trusted this situation and wanted to have a few answers, quick! YunHo looked at YooChun and felt intimidated by the look in his eyes, he knew that the other man didn’t trusted him and that he wanted to have some answers, but… he just KNEW that it would be stupid to tell him the truth about his feelings and what had happened between JaeJoong and himself, he just couldn’t tell YooChun about JaeJoong, it was simply impossible for him to do it! A part of him wanted to tell YooChun everything, to confess his feelings and to tell him what he really thought about JaeJoong, but… something prevented him from doing it. He felt that the ring was heavier than normal but that wasn’t so strange anymore, it was a demonic ring after all…
So… he did something what was very wrong, even now that he knew that it could be dangerous for YooChun and his friends, and he lied to YooChun about JaeJoong, not able to betray JaeJoong. “I- I don’t know what he wanted from me, I already told you that the last time when you asked me about him” whispered YunHo, and that wasn’t a lie, he really had no idea what JaeJoong wanted from him and why JaeJoong wanted to marry with him, a normal human boy who wasn’t able to do anything special, he just had no idea why it was so important for JaeJoong to marry him, to have him like a… human pet or something like that… He felt a little embarrassed about it, but he also knew that JaeJoong had wanted to have sex with him. So he wasn’t lying about this to YooChun. But to answer YooChun’s other two questions… he just knew that he couldn’t tell the truth, he knew that he couldn’t tell YooChun what really happened between himself and JaeJoong in this room, a few minutes earlier… “He… he didn’t had said anything to me, he just… he was just angry, he talked about the symbols on the wall and that he didn’t liked them…” YunHo hesitated, he wasn’t really a good liar, his face always colored red when he tried to lie so he hoped that he was convincing enough, but to hide his colored face he looked down at his hands, avoiding it to look YooChun in his eyes. But, he knew that YooChun didn’t knew him, he didn’t knew how he looked when he lied so maybe he would believe him so he tried to spoke again. “End eh…” he stopped mid-sentence and he thought about how JaeJoong had looked when he had saw him, he had looked weaker, tired and he had looked sad at him. He just knew that something was weakening the demon master, he didn’t knew what exactly was going on, but… he just knew instinctively that something was really wrong.
“I don’t know why he didn’t tried to kill us all when he was here, I really don’t know…” muttered YunHo while he again looked down at his folded hands. It felt so wrong to lie, to defend a demon and to betray his own kind, but… he just couldn’t betray JaeJoong, betraying him was just… he just couldn’t do it! “Okay” was all what YooChun responded and this time he couldn’t see if YooChun believed his story or not, YooChun was really good at hiding his emotions so the only thing YunHo could do was hope that the YooChun had believed him. “We can’t stay here now that the demon master knows where we are, it’s not safe here.” YooChun walked toward the door and turned one last time toward him. “We are leaving within a hour and it will be dangerous when we are leaving this place. I assume that you never have seen the world we are living in because you didn’t knew about the demons, so prepare yourself.” And then, when he had said those words, YooChun left and he was alone and he felt… horrible for what he had done?! He had lied to the only real persons he had ever seen! Now that he knew about the demons he wasn’t sure anymore what was real and what not. Was the woman who had taken care of him also been a… real human? Or had she been a demon? Like JaeJoong? Frustrated he stared down at his ring, he KNEW that it was wrong to still love JaeJoong, to protect him after all the evil he had done, but… he JUST COULDN’T INGORE HIS FEELINGS!
Frustrated and really confused he stood in the middle of the room, trying to think of a way to get out of all the trouble he was in and he wanted to know what he needed to do with his feelings! Sighing he… decided to NOT listen to his feelings, he was a human and he needed to stay with his own kind, and not with a really powerful demon master who was evil and could kill him within seconds! He… he knew that he wanted to be with JaeJoong, he also knew that he wouldn’t be able to betray the demon master, that was just impossible, but… he also knew that he needed to stay away from him, or… he tried to convince himself that he needed to stay away from JaeJoong, that it would be dangerous and really insane to be with him, to love him and to… accept everything he is doing and to… ignore everything he has done to all his poor slaves! So… still with mixed feelings he waited for YooChun to return to him when it would be time to leave this place and then it tuck him... YooChun had told him to prepare himself to leave, but… how did he needed to prepare himself? He even didn’t knew what was out there and where they were going?!
He had hoped that he could stay here longer and not because he felt really safe here, but because… he secretly hoped that he could see JaeJoong again, he had been here before so… maybe he would come back to him? NO! He shook his head and felt angry with himself, why was he feeling this way? It was just wrong to think about JaeJoong like that! To wish that he could see him again and that… he would take him back with him, back to that place with all the demons where he had been kept like a human pet! JaeJoong had always taken good care of him good but… for how long would he have done that? Angry with himself he started to pace, trying very hard to distract himself from thinking about JaeJoong and while he did that he didn’t saw how YooChun had opened the door and that the other man stepped toward him. He stood there a few minutes, watching YunHo before he cleared his throat to make his presence known. “Oh, eh… Are we going now?” YunHo sounded nervous, he wasn’t sure how long YooChun had been watching him but he didn’t really liked it that this man he had just had met had been watching him. “Yes” spoke YooChun slowly and stepped closer toward him. “I need to tell you a few rules before we are going, so listen good to me if you want to survive this, do you understand me?” YooChun sounded serious and authoritarian while he spoke and at that moment he realized that YooChun must be the leader from all the people he had met here.
“Eh, yes… I’m listening” nodded YunHo and stared at the older male, he already knew that it was dangerous outside, JaeJoong had forbidden him to leave the palace BECAUSE it was too dangerous for him, and if he, a demon master, didn’t wanted him to be there, it must be really dangerous and scary! So, when he waited for YooChun to start with talking, he felt really nervous and he even wasn’t sure if he wanted to go, maybe he just… could wait here? And… Maybe would JaeJoong come back for him? NOOOO! Again, he shook his head slightly, he refused to think about JaeJoong that way, he had decided to go with YooChun so he needed to STOP with thinking about that demon! It wasn’t healthy! “Are you alright?” YooChun had clearly watched him while he had thought about JaeJoong and now he probably thought that he had become crazy! “Yes, yes… I’m alright!” angry with himself he tried again to ignore his feelings and to concentrate on YooChun, he needed to survive and to escape from JaeJoong, and he needed to do it quick before he would get in more trouble than he already was!
YooChun hesitated for a moment bore he spoke again, but when he spoke he looked more careful. “I want you to know that the outside world is really dangerous, there are demons there, everywhere, in every shadow and every dark alley… And they are all more than willingly to kill all of us! So, I want you to STAY WITH US all the time and to do what we are telling you. You aren’t doing ANYTHING without asking one of us if it’s okay what you want to do, you aren’t going to make you own decisions and I want you to understand, that IF you are in danger, and if it would be suicide for us to help you, we will leave you behind, the safety of our group is more important than only one person. I know that this is sounding really harsh, but we are living a dangerous world and sometimes we are forced to make some really difficult choices, and this is one of them.” At first he… just stared at YooChun, the thought that he could die there was making him scared and knowing that YooChun would leave him if it would be too dangerous for them to safe him that was just… He shivered but tried to look brave, he didn’t wanted to look weak, especially now that he knew that he could die out there! “YunHo?” He looked up when YooChun had called his name and… he saw that the other male smiled friendly at him. “Don’t worry, we are only leaving somebody behind when there is no other option and I only have done it three times in more than six years, so if you are doing what we are telling you, there is a chance that you can survive this.”
And when YooChun had spoke, he actually had sounded… friendly. “Now, come and let’s leave this place before the demons are coming back and I’m sure that they are already watching this place, ready to attack us if they have the chance.” YooChun sounded as if this was a really normal thing, knowing that there are demons out there, ready to kill them all, but… it was probably normal for him, he seemed to know what they could suspect and how they needed to defend themselves. But, even now that he already knew that it would be dangerous outside, he didn’t expected it that YooChun gave him a REAL gun! At first he only stared at the gun, not sure if he wanted to take it, he had never before seen a real gun end he was sure that if he would take it he would do something stupid, like shooting himself accidently in his own feet! “Eh… I can’t take that… I’m… I’m too young, I’m only sixteen years old…” He sounded nervous, simply because he wasn’t sure if he wanted to take it, he was afraid to fight and holding a gun was just… “You need to YunHo, I can’t protect you when we are outside, not all the time. You need to take care of yourself as much as possible. Take it” YooChun grabbed his hand and placed the gun in it. “I know that you are sixteen years old, but I also know that you need to grow up if you want to survive in this world, there is no place here for weakness, and children are weak YunHo, so don’t be a child! And I know that I’m sounding rude, but that’s the truth.” YooChun pointed at the gun he now had in his hands before he spoke again. “This isn’t a normal gun, it’s only made to kill demons, so you can’t use it against humans, it simply wouldn’t work. A demon even can’t touch this gun or stand it to look at it.”
YunHo shivered again, he didn’t liked it to feel the weight of the gun in his hand, but he knew better than to protest, especially not now YooChun had made clear that he needed to obey and to grow up. So, he did the only thing he could and that was nodding to YooChun. He was used to it that others were telling him what to do and what not, his whole life had been this way, so he even didn’t tried to argue with the older male! He followed YooChun out of the room he had been in for the last few hours and he saw for the first time how the rest of the house looked and… it was just like his room, the walls were painted with all those strange symbols, everywhere he saw weapons, some of them he recognized but most of them were strange and he even didn’t knew how to use them. He also saw that every human was waiting there, and there were a lot persons, all ready to fight! There were more people now here than he had seen the first time when had been abducted by them. There were more males than females, but they all were… like YooChun, warriors, they all were wearing weapons, they all had scars and they all were looking as if they were ready to kill! Not so sure if he like them he did slowly a step away from them and swallowed. When he had agreed to live with JaeJoong, all those weeks ago, he didn’t had suspected that he would end here, in a dangerous place with people who all were ready to kill him if they needed to! He just wished that… it all was just a bad dream and that he would wake up!
But this wasn’t a dream and he wouldn’t wake up from it, he knew that now and that wasn’t comforting at all! But, luckily, YooChun didn’t wanted to waste more time than he already had and he didn’t started to introduce everyone, instead he ordered everyone to grab a raincoat with a hood? Why did they need to wear that? But again, he obeyed and YooChun ordered everybody to go and to be ready. Everybody knew what he or she needed to do and they acted as if they had been trained and drilled like real soldiers! YooChun grabbed him by his arm and ordered him to stay in the middle of the group and to stay there, no matter what, and then everybody started to walk! Somebody opened a door and when he walked trough it he… didn’t had expected the outside world to look like this! It was dark outside, there were no stars in the sky, there was no moon… The only light he saw was coming from a few really strange red clouds? Were clouds really red? He always had read in his books that they were supposed to be white. He looked more at the clouds and saw that they were radiating a really strange, red light and it was… scary! It just felt wrong! He looked at YooChun to see if everything was fine because he had stopped with walking, just when they had stepped outside. He saw that… YooChun stared just like him at the clouds and when he looked at the others he saw that they were doing the same thing… They all looked worried and some of them started to check if the raincoats they were wearing was covering their whole body’s.
“Is there something wrong?” whispered YunHo, he saw that everybody looked worried and that some of them even looked back at the safety of the house! “The red clouds you’re seeing are really dangerous, they aren’t filled with water but…” YooChun paused and stared at a few others who were standing beside them. “The clouds are filled with hydrochloric acid, so when it’s starting to rain, we are in real danger, the rain will kill us, that’s why we are wearing the raincoats, it will protect us for a little while.” YooChun sounded now really worried, and that was… scary! YooChun always seemed so… brave and knowing that he feared something, that was… just not normal! “Are we going back?” Whispered YunHo while he did a step backwards like a few others, closer toward the house. “No!” Hissed YooChun and grabbed him by his arm to prevent him from running away. “We can’t go back, if we are staying there, the demons are going to find us and kill us all, we need to leave now we still have a change!” While YooChun had spoke he saw that the others were agreeing with YooChun, even the ones who also looked back at the house, like he had done. “We are going, now!” Hissed YooChun, “The clouds are still not tight enough to start raining, so we still have time!” And while YooChun had spoke those words, he started to walk again, forcing YunHo to follow him.
“Where are we going?” Whispered YunHo when the group stopped for a few seconds, YooChun always wanted to check every shadow every few minutes, just to make sure that they weren’t followed so this was his change to ask something. “We have another safe house, we are almost there” spoke the man besides him but before he could ask something else the man grabbed him by his arm and pushed him forward because YooChun had started to walk again. But… Just then, at that moment, he had the feeling that they were still watched, even now that YooChun had checked the shadows for demons and now that he didn’t had found anything, still he had the feeling that they weren’t alone! Worried he looked around him, trying to see if there was indeed somebody out there, but… he didn’t saw anything! His heartbeat started to beat faster when he wondered if JaeJoong would be out there, trying to find him! But again, he shook his head, why was he ALWAYS thinking about JaeJoong? It was just wrong! Trying to distract himself he looked at YooChun, hoping that he would bring them fast to the safe house where the man besides him had talked about, he really didn’t wanted to stay here any longer than he already was! The clouds were scary and he knew that there was danger EVERYWHERE around him!
“It’s starting to rain!” Screamed suddenly somebody from behind him and… The whole group started to ran! “NOW! RAN AND HIDE YOURSELF UNDER YOU HOOD” Yelled YooChun and the man who had talked to him earlier grabbed him again by his arm and pulled him with him! “Now, we need to find a place where we could find some shelter from the rain!” While they ran, he heard how somebody started to scream again from behind him, and he saw how a middle aged man had fallen to the ground, he had a few burn wounds on his face and he… didn’t moved while he lied on the ground! And he knew that is was wrong, but his first instinct was to… walk toward him and to… look closer at his wounds, to see if he was really death and if he had suffered! “YunHo, COME NOW!” Hissed YooChun and the next moment he felt that a few people were grabbing, pushing and almost carrying him toward a old and dirty looking barn! “You have left him?!” he stared at YooChun and felt horrible, not only because they had left the man behind, but also because of his own thoughts! “He is death YunHo, he had lost his hood and the hydrochloric acid rain has burned him to death, we couldn’t safe him.” YooChun sounded harsh while she spoke and he knew that he was lucky that he still was alive while he looked behind him! The clouds were now really red and it started to rain harder and harder while they were waiting and… The rain was smelling strange, he didn’t really liked it. He tried to look around him to see if the plants around him were able to survive in this rain but he saw… that there were no plants, no trees, no shrubs… nothing!
“We are waiting here until it’s safe to go further” spoke YooChun and he ordered four man to stand on guard while the others were waiting, but still, he had the feeling that they all were watched! He knew that he needed to talk to YooChun about his feeling but at the same time, he couldn’t do it because he still, secretly, hoped that JaeJoong would be there, looking for him, waiting for him… Frustrated he closed his eyes and felt horrible. “YunHo, I’m here… I have come for you…” Shocked he looked around him, wondering who had spoken to him, but… nobody seemed to have heard the voice he just had heard! “YunHo, I’m here and I’m going to take you with me, so sit still and wait for me…” Oh! He knew that voice! JaeJoong… he was here! He knew that he needed to scream, to shout and to warn EVERYONE that JaeJoong was here, and that they were in danger and trapped here, but… he just couldn’t do it! Hearing JaeJoong’s voice, whispering in his ear was… making him calm and… he realized that he had missed it to hear his voice! “This is so wrong…” Muttered YunHo to himself but still, he wasn’t able to stand up and to warn the others, so he did what JaeJoong had ordered him to do and he… waited, knowing that IF JaeJoong would attack them, nobody could escape from this place, it was still raining outside so leaving this barn was not possible! This was a trap and there was no escape possible… The rain, the barn… The feeling that they were watched… JaeJoong had followed them and he had waited for the right moment, and now he was here and he knew that a lot people would die here tonight…
He was the first one who saw it, he saw that some of the shadows started to move, it was scaring to see all the shadows in the red light from the clouds, but he saw it and he knew that JaeJoong was here, ready to claim him. But.. there was something else what was surprising him, and that was that he didn’t saw any other demons here, JaeJoong was alone! Why was he alone? YooChun was really dangerous, even for a human but… JaeJoong was a demon master, so… why was he alone here while he could order any demon he wanted to be here? A few minutes later, when he already knew that JaeJoong was here, preparing himself to make himself visible, and while he was busy fighting his confused emotions, trying to decide what to do, to yell at the others that JaeJoong was here, or to just sit and wait for JaeJoong he heard how the others were yelling at each other! “He is here, a demon is here!” Everybody grabbed their weapons, but he… he didn’t followed the others, he didn’t grabbed the gun YooChun had given him, he didn’t tried to run away, he just sat there… He saw, just before he closed his eyes, that JaeJoong stepped out of the shadows, he saw that JaeJoong looked at him and he saw that… YooChun stared at him and JaeJoong… But when he had closed his eyes, the screaming started! He heard how a few persons were screaming, he heard how somebody fired a gun but he knew instinctive that JaeJoong wasn’t really wounded and that he was still coming toward him…
He felt how a hand grabbed him by his arm and how somebody pulled him upright. “I’m here YunHo and I’m taking you home.” YunHo opened his eyes and… saw JaeJoong. He really looked horrible, he looked tired, he had bangs under his eyes… He just wasn’t healthy and… he was worried for JaeJoong! Knowing that it was wrong, but at the same time not able to stop himself, he hugged JaeJoong. “Take me with you” spoke YunHo out loud while he still hugged JaeJoong. He saw that EVERYBODY who was still alive, stared at him and JaeJoong and they looked… disgusted! “Of course, but… we need to walk” JaeJoong whispered those words in his ear, too soft for the others to hear it and at that moment he was sure that there was really something horrible wrong with JaeJoong. “Okay” spoke YunHo out loud, he didn’t worried about the rain, about the others who were watching him and JaeJoong, it just didn’t mattered anymore… He knew that he was doomed, but… he just wasn’t able to ignore JaeJoong and he… placed his hand in JaeJoong’s, ready to follow him, and while he did that, everybody saw that one of his eyes, his right eye, slowly colored black like JaeJoong’s eyes…
