In the fading light of Somarium, Uchiha Sasuke was walking tiredly back to his home. He'd spent the entire week training, working on getting his body prepared and stronger than that of his older brother. The older man's arrival in Somarium had shaken Sasuke to the very core of his being, and it had confused him. His brother hadn't come to kill him yet. Then again, Sasuke thought bitterly to himself, with as weak as he was what challenge would that be? Never mind that Itachi had offered himself up to Sasuke's knife, it had probably been a ploy anyway ( ... )

Luck, more than anything, brought the boy into Muraki's view as he walked at night. He'd become fascinated by his eyes as soon as he saw that dream, so to have the chance to actually take one eye for himself seemed like an opportunity too good to pass up. He couldn't simply teleport behind him these days; he could, however, follow from a safe distance until he found his home.

After a few silent minutes, he tested the back door, found it unlocked, and crept inside like a sliver of light in the darkness. Muraki prepared a sedative injection with the help of what moonlight peered through the windows. Even if he gave a little too much, the worst likely to happen was that his target slept rather than remained awake and groggy.

He found the boy's bedroom and slowly crept inside. From that dream, he know to play safe against someone who knew how to fight.

Had Sasuke not spent the whole week training until near exhaustion he may have noticed Muraki's silent entrance into his home. As it was he continued to sleep perfectly unaware of the danger that was approaching him.

He shifted in his sleep turning towards Muraki his face slackened and soft in sleep. The eyes that Muraki wanted so badly hidden behind thin, veined lids.

Muraki had the feeling he wouldn't stay quite so asleep for long, but for a moment he stood and watched him sleep before he tugged on latex gloves and checked the syringe one last time. With everything set, he stepped in closer, firmly grabbed Sasuke's left arm with his left hand and jabbed the needle into the muscle in his upper arm. It was the best target without having to get the boy's pants down.

Gwendolen calmly arrived at the clinic, double checking she was presentable before knocking on the door. It has been a while since she had gone to a doctors office. She always had been in perfect health, aside from the occasional check up. But she was here tonight to hopefully learn something new, not that she was particularly interested in medicine. Still, it was something to do.

Once he heard the knock, he smiled and answered the door. Muraki couldn't help thinking of Ukyou whenever he had to do something medical to a young girl, but he pushed the thought away. He was dead at home, he told himself, so there was no point in missing his fiancée when he could never return to her.

"Good evening, dear," he said once the door opened and he looked down at her. "I hope it wasn't too hard to find this place."

"Oh, not really! I'm glad that I was able to find it anyways, Doctor." She smile sweetly, seeming perfectly innocent.

"That's good to know. Thank you for coming here to help me with my work." Muraki stepped aside so she could step inside properly. Inside the clinic, it looked much like any other, aside from the porcelain dolls that rested on top of the bookshelf nearest the door to the exam area.

"Follow me back here...I'm sorry, I don't think I got your name earlier. What should I call you?"

The Doctor wouldn't have to hope for long. Always eager to lend a helping hand; and more so wishing to repay this world for its goodness so far; Larsa had decided to take upon himself to assist the Doctor in any way that he could with his project. Especially with the General promoting a corps that would focus on wellness and protection- it seemed that as a member, aiding a medical function that would heal people was indeed a worth cause.

So, making his way to the front door of the clinic, Larsa knocked gently and politely.

That knock could only mean one thing, so Muraki went to the door, opened it, and gave Larsa a warm, friendly grin. The boy was, from what he'd seen already, quite amazing in several ways and the chance to enjoy both his company and get a bit of his blood was too good to pass up. Muraki half-wondered what else he'd be able to talk the pretty youth into if he were really so eager to help as he seemed.

"Good afternoon," he said as he held the door open.

It's okay! It is Muraki, after all. paxivalice August 21 2011, 05:41:30 UTC
"Good afternoon, Doctor." He replied, looking just as full of cheer as the smile Muraki had put on his face. He gave the very slightest of flouncing bows, gloved hands clasped in front of himself, before stepping inside.

"I do hope I have not come at an inconvenient time for you?" Too early, he fretted. He had been a bit over-eager to get to it. The more he learned of Somarium, the more many wonders there were to enjoy, and tasks to put himself to. "If you have much to do, I don't at all mind waiting."

Again, he flashed a soft smile. The Doctor seemed a kindly man; nothing like Cid, whose motives in science had all been for personal gain.

He shook his head. "It's not a bad time at all. Not much has happened today aside from a native girl who fell and needed several stitches in her head. Hopefully she'll look where she's running in the future." Muraki liked the relative quiet of his days here instead of when things were as busy as they sometimes got back in Japan. It felt nice to take everything relatively easy in his afterlife.

Muraki adjusted his glasses, offering a small peek of the blue prosthethic under the right side of his bangs, and gestured towards the rooms down the hall. "This won't take very long and it shouldn't be all that painful either."

Zion had simply dropped by to see if he could do anything for Muraki. "Mister Muraki, are you in here?" he called out, curious violet eyes gazing around the room curiously. He had been thinking about what he had done and felt that he should at least see what he was doing with his blood. It was getting dark so he couldn't stay long but he wouldn't be long.

"Mister Muraki?" he called out again. Zion was getting a bad feeling, but chose to ignore it. This was the man who ruffled his hair, he couldn't be that bad.

When Zion arrived, Muraki was in the lab area, comparing his assistant's cells with the ones he'd taken from his volunteers. They looked similar enough at first glance, but the tests currently running should help him figure out what, exactly, had been modified to encourage regeneration.

"I'm in the lab!" he called out, certain that Zion would be able to follow the sound of his voice.

Zion followed his voice into the lab. Looking around, curious yet familiar with a lab. He did spend his life in labs, after all. As he wandered over to Muraki, he couldn't help but have a bad feeling about him. He soon saw Muraki and walked over to him. "Mister Muraki, I'm just curious...But what is it exactly that you intend to do with the regenerating ability?" he asked, his violet eyes gazing at the taller man. "I mean even with regeneration, you can build an eye....Unless you already have another eye." he gazed at him.

"Well, I already know from my work at home what it takes to create an eye. The regeneration ability will make the cells head in that direction faster, at least I hope. And it will also prevent me from losing the sight in my eye ever again." The lab here wasn't as advanced as the one he'd used in Kyoto, but it was better than nothing.

He smiled politely down at Zion and stroked his cheek once he took his gloves off for the time being.

Kobato had been wondering around, trying to find the place she was meant to go to, or at least she had to guess she had to go somewhere. When it came to information, Kobato wasn't the best at putting two and two together straight away, not without someone explaining it to her.

Stopping outside a place, she looked up for a moment, smile gracing her face as she had taken those few steps to the door before politely knocking. After all she knew that it was a nice thing to do before poking her head in.

"Hello? Mister are you here?"

Muraki expected people to wait for him to get the door, or at least for him to say something before they let themselves into the clinic unless they had an appointment or it was an emergency. But the girl who let herself in was apparently different from most people. When she entered, he had to hastily cover up some of the work he was in the middle of doing in the lab before he walked towards her.

"I'm here today. It's good to see you in person, miss-?" Once again, he'd forgotten to get her name before agreeing to see her.

[OOC: I forget -- are you okay with her actually getting her eye injured?]

"Oh, My name is Kobato Hanato, it's nice to meet you." She said hastily as she bowed, her hair hitting the floor as she had leant as far as the young girl could go. It had been a moment or two before she would stand up straight again, but when she did, she did with a smile, still standing in the same spot.

"I have come here to help the best I can!" She said happily and with a hint of excitement in her voice, she was for once being helpful, so she thought anyway, but it mad her happy none the less for now.

[OOC: I'm okay with it.]

"And I'm Dr. Muraki. I appreciate you offering to help me out, but there's no need to bow that far," he said as he nodded his own head at her. Given how many people dispensed with that politeness altogether here, it was amazing that anyone still bothered to do it at all.

He let her have a moment to look around the clinic, which was as minimalist as most were, with the obligatory stacks of magazines sitting on small tables. The only distinctly personal touch was the porcelain doll on top of a bookshelf. "Would you like anything to drink before I get started?"
